Anyone arguing that some flavor of AI literacy will protect women from AI deep fake porn is at best unserious and at worst desperate to protect their automated goon generator. This is prima facie not a literacy problem.

And I HATE IT when people try to reverse uno with "oh well if you don't like these books for girls you must have internalized sexism."

I am not conforming to gender norms in my reading taste, they're angry about it and I'M the one with internalized sexism?

CALL YOUR REPS: Stop the Federal Book Ban Bill! Your voice matters, and together we can help protect the freedom to read.

Just called my representative to urge her to oppose HR 7661, the national book banning bill. Here's language you can use to do the same: action.everylibrary.org/callhr7661

Yeah I got the first American run of shonen jump as a kid I've definitely done that!

I do think it's usually worth while to go to the start of it's a single creative team working on any book You can jump back to when an artist/writer started on a title, sometimes that's #1 sometimes it isn't

And "comics" that aren't cape books, you start with number 1.

If you wanna talk about media confusion how the fuck do I watch Golden Kamuy? I am actually asking I got lost after season 3 and I'm not sure if I've seen all the ova stuff? And some of it is like a minute and noncanon? ..movie next?

Where to start comics vs manga meme.
Comics has many confusing suggestions about batman
Manga has chapter 1 of Dragonball

Where to start comics vs manga meme. Comics has many confusing suggestions about batman Manga has chapter 1 of Dragonball

I think this is just kind of silly. I love cape books and manga but they aren't comparable.

People get weird about cape books because there isn't that many long form serialization media left, it's basically them, wrestling and soap operas.
You start with a soap opera where ever you find it

Amazing that Apple's approach to anything even approaching consenting porn is "not on your life, you filthy pervert" and its approach to nonconsensual porn is, basically, "well, what can ya do"

the headline is NPR's fault; despite what people SHOULD DO most people will only be exposed to the headline and that colors peoples world view and is reasonable to critique.
