Can the Sixers? The Sixers can?

Also, this was one of the easiest "pull a weird line of dialogue for the podcast ep title" instances of the run.
Was this the first hit of the Columbo-as-antibody theory?
This week's throwback episode of our old Columbo podcast, Just One More Thing, is an absolute doozy -- A Friend In Deed! Top three episode for me, even though there's a bathtub surrounded by shag pile in this episode that gave me night terrors. Ben Gazzara directs!

The first Enthusiasts Club featured @ramseyess.com talking about a favorite overlooked Stephen Sondheim show, MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. Since 2019, it's gone from overlooked to very-much-looked, with a Broadway revival starring Daniel Radcliffe in 2023. Here's Ramsey very much ahead of the curve -
God Bless Baseball
Just the shows, talking to a bunch of folks about things that they enjoy.
I enjoyed doing this, I'd thought about the idea for years before, and finally tried it after coming off @jomtpodcast.bsky.social. But 2020, I lost steam and any desire to make something and it never came back. So, capped at eight shows, no need for a standalone site or podcast account somewhere.
2019-2020, tried this podcast project, talking to people about things they enjoyed. Eight episodes, and they have not been available for a very long time. Putting them back up, I'll post the individual shows over the next week or so, but here's the whole thing.
April 17, 1977: This Pistons-Warriors brawl spills into the stands during the deciding game of their Western Conference playoff series (no one was ejected):
—Eric Money & Charles Dudley throw punches
—Bob Lanier fights a fan who'd punched M.L. Carr
—Referees call a double foul
Why don't they just make the *whole* bsky out of the Black Box?
Columbo's first name is never said aloud in the series.
However, it is flashed before your eyes. In the early episode "Dead Weight," Columbo visits a house. He flashes his badge. The signature clearly reads "Frank Columbo."

The Specials performing “Ghost Town” on Top Of The Pops in 1981. Guest appearance by Pauline Black of The Selecter. Jerry Dammers wrote the song in response to the 1980 riots in Bristol and Brixton. It reached #1 in the UK. m.youtube.com/watch?v=QThl...

This week's throwback episode of the Columbo podcast Just One More Thing is our very first (so it's kinda rough), the iconic Swan Song, starring Johnny Cash. Also you learn a lot about how they fold parachutes. Apparently you need quite a big table!
Wet Leg’s Coachella set was fun as hell and I am too old on the East Coast to see Laufey and Iggy Pop and Fatboy Slim and will lay myself down to rest.
No Caro!
She brought up the traps. I brought up the name, and said “Sure, ‘Clothes Moth Traps’ sounds like a Guided by Voices song.” It landed with the young hipsters! Pathetic that I feel good about that, but it had been in my head for some time. I knew it would kill with the right audience! Anyway.
