About to finish third zone of Pragmata and really enjoying it. I'm sceptical it'll stay interesting from this point BUT the action and the way it keeps layering things on top of it's combat system is incredible, and the music/aesthetic are so on point. Pleased to see it's done so well for a new IP.
Here we go π #Pragmata
It is a big gorilla yes
I played via Cemu, where you can switch between the GamePad and TV with a button. That aspect was fine - however I strongly recommend playing w/ a Gyro-enabled controller, as many of the encounters are tuned for having finer control over your aim. It's doable without, but it's incredibly difficult.
Finished up Star Fox Zero. I was a staunch defender of it back then and still am now. While 64 will always be my fave, Zero has some great setpieces, sastifying action and it looks really good too. I can see why people hate the controls, they are very finnicky, but I never had problems with them.
lay eggs in my mouth omg
Playing through Sons of the Forest during the late night hours and as a huge fan of LOST and The Descent it is scratching all the right itches for me. It's a survival game without the annoying repetition or RNG elements that normally puts me off them.
Absolutely but I don't have a Wii U sooooo π«£
Star Fox Command done. Appreciate the strategy angle they took, and how it harkens back to Star Fox 2, but also for its branching story. It's very repetitive, owing to its fit-for-purpose appearance on a handheld. No real screens, as I can't cap on my DS, but here's goofball ending art instead.
Finished Star Fox Assault - it's mercifully shorter than Adventures. A clever combo of classic Star Fox with on-foot sections that feel reminiscent of Earth Defence Force. It's very short, with unforgiving checkpoints and an undercooked villain. With refinement, this could be a great modern SF game.
Star Fox Adventures done. Despite having fond memories of it, I hated it. It's tedious, there's so much dead space in the world, and exploration is nonexistent. Doubt I'll ever play again. Itβs far too long for how few ideas it has and commits the sin of being neither good nor bad, just boring.
Managed to, again, line up a very dynamic double presentation last night π
Although the reason that these arrived so late is because something else had to be shipped in the same box and it took almost two months to find someone who would ship this to Australia because of its size π©
Random shit from Japan arrived just because I need an excuse to play all of these on other platforms again π§ #ResidentEvil #REBHfun
Why? Genuinely keen to know, I've not touched it since whenever I played it at launch π
what the hell, sure
sometimes I think the dynamic behind the scenes difficulty scaling they use in RE4 is actually happening in real life
The recomp is also pretty cool, adding widescreen support and 60fps. I opted to change the portraits to the 3DS versions, but you can do all kinds of other weird stuff with it too including a level select and other tweaks and enhancements.
For no reason whatsoever, I am revisiting Star Fox. Tried the recomp of Star Fox 64 last night and got through it pretty quickly, though there's heaps in here that I totally forgot about. Kind of impressive just HOW MUCH they managed to squeeze out of the rail shooter format.
I mean I would be
If they remake Ocarina of Time I wonder if they will be brave enough to answer the age old question of what Sheik's voice sounds like.
Snuck in the Devil May Cry anime. I think it's.....fine. Once it got going, I was really vibing with it - loved how it pulled from ALL the games. I do feel like Dante is too much Nero though which will be weird whenever he shows up. As a Vergil enjoyer, so keen for Season 2.
Play AC!D
Yeah I think it's still a pretty incredible achievement when you think about it back then. It does speak to how stale Pokemon is becoming though but I daresay I think they're on the right trajectory now. I hope.
That's just Resident Evil 2002 with DLSS5
Never played the Gen 1 remakes so have been dabbling in FireRed. It's still pretty cool and I like how open the game becomes when you get to the middle of the region. The type match ups are all over the fkn place though and the Safari Zone is such vehemently miserable RNG junk. #Pokemon
After Little Nightmares 3 (which was so boring) I wasn't sure I'd enjoy REANIMAL but it's really fucking good. Lots of options to play it solo or co-op too. Just a wholly better put together game than any of the LN games and slightly deeper mechanically - Tarsier still got it.
worst part of the game hands down :(
Had the most stacked double feature last night and while barely anything was good I can't say that I wasn't entertained π€π«¨
