I know it would be a logistical nightmare, but I think all exams should shift to an oral comprehension model. How well the students grasp the main concepts of the course should drive it. Even if they get little details wrong (a date here, a name there), can they articulate their understanding well?

The way Trump wields tariffs it's like he's trying to run his own little protection racket: "Nice little economy you've got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it."

People keep saying it's about the oil. And yes, for sure it's about the oil. But it's also about the fragile ego of a feckless leader who is weak but desperately needs to be seen as strong.

Watching this Presidential administration is like watching a bizarre combination of the Three Stooges, The Little Rascals, and Don Quixote. I'm surprised the door to the Oval Office doesn't have a sign that says "He-Man Biden Hater's Club."

The normalization of cruelty is one of the saddest by-products of the current age.

The celebration of cruelty is even worse.

So sorry to hear. Same happened to my dad when he was 63. I'm sure many prayers are going up from people who have walked the same road you're walking. May peace and hope surround you and yours.

Let's see...gummi bears, half a container of day-old sweet & sour chicken, three different flavor Slim Fast powder mixes without enough for a shake but I don't feel good throwing them out just yet, an Ecclefechan tart leftover from last Christmas, some flat Sprite Zero...yeah, I say let's do this!

I'd ask "Is the cosplay over yet?" but it's very clear that it's only just begun.

It's been proven that every mother who has given birth to an autistic child breathed in a mixture of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and about 1% other gases such as argon, carbon dioxide, neon, and helium.

These elements in this particular formulation must be banned IMMEDIATELY.

Today I was called a tool of the globalist antichrist spirit because I advocated for an assault weapons ban in the USA.

I get it. And I'll give him props for both originality and longevity (first time I noticed this was on the soundtrack for "Lost").

One positive thing I can celebrate--you'll never have plot spoilers in his track titles like "Qui-Gon's Noble End" and "Qui-Gon's Funeral" on the SWep1 soundtrack.

Being a revolutionary era history buff, I’d hit all those historical sites. One of my favorite places to visit.

I love Michael Giacchino's music. His scores are always top-notch.

But man...give it up with the pseudo-clever track names, please. It's just not funny, not cute, and not needed.

Basically I use it as an administrative assistant since our church can’t afford one.

I agree that certain generative tasks would be beyond the pale for ministers, but I will admit to using AI in writing letters and preparing reports for meetings. The content is directed by me but it’s nice to have a tool review it for clarity and to make sure it’s concise and professional.

It's so sad, folks. So very sad. /end

Recently I got into a debate on another social media site. Not worth going into the details, but to make my point I posted ACTUAL DATA, as in "I literally did the math." I showed how his premise was wrong & could be proven wrong with FACTS. But even with the hard & fast numbers in front of him.../1
