I think this proves that restricted free agency is a terrible idea and gives teams way too much leverage. Is grimes worth more than 4/39, probably. Is he worth 4/60? Maybe but all we really have to go off of is half a season where he played with a bunch of gleague players

They are the same. As an owner, why would you pay the tax for a team that isn’t a championship contender? Does it suck as a fan, sure but I think it’s understandable. I don’t think grimes is the difference between them making the playoffs/finals a couple years from now.
