I've been working on a new shader language called "easl". The goal is to bring the conveniences you'd expect from a high-level language to the GPU. It's still got some rough edges, but if you're into shaders or creative coding you should check it out! More info in the thread π
This image displays a structured grid composed of squares and rectangles. Each cell contains abstract geometric shapes, such as triangles and intersecting lines. The shapes are filled with gradient colors, primarily in shades of blue, purple, and orange, creating a visually cohesive and dynamic pattern.

Algorithmic art with layers of distorted black and white stripes and blue splotches
Multiple octaves of warped stripes, spattered with blue

Colorful stripes over a light pastel background, using a noise effect to imitate a fabric texture
Multiple horizontal lines colored of a rainbow color ramp over a dark background
Itβs still in beta, but I use it every day for both personal projects and some commissions. Now itβs easier than ever to build tools that suit your needs for creating and expressing yourself through art π«
Screenshot of fooorma.com using a light theme, showing on the left the code and on the right the layers and shapes settings. The art piece is a portrait displaying some random spheres with different levels of blur over a dark background
Screenshot of fooorma displaying the dark theme, only the sidebar, hiding the code sidebar. It shows a row of 3D cubes over a electric blue backround painted with neon strokes
The app is developed using Svelte and Claude Code, and the design API and all the examples are human-made π«
As part of the PatternBloom project, I've started to build fooorma: a free and Open Source app for developing procedural art pieces π¨

Creativity is like a houseplant, not an endless well. You need to seek out sunlight, water, and nutrients in art, shows, music, experiences, and more to tend to it. And just like plants it has its dormant and active periods and you may not seem improvement for some time.

Thank you! Iβm not usually a big fan of op art, but I aimed to create something smoother and more subtle π₯Ή
The first #p5js 2.0 beta release is out! We're still in the process of writing up everything that has changed, but if you want to see some examples and help us test things out, head on over: github.com/processing/p...
