Tbh, my trousers were 30” wide at the bottom, and long enough to hide my platform shoes

No, but did visit a pub and enter raffle, won a chance of opening cash box, 1 in 10 chance, won a couple of hundred quid, locals not at all happy, I can understand that.

Then again, driving something as big as a bus for one person is not at all selfish. (Think that counts as sarcasm for any American readers)

Dan, drivers in Florida can’t manage roundabouts, so it’s a big ask for them to manoeuvre round a cyclist safely.

I remember in the dim and dismal past when a senior work colleague used to say this to the young girls in the office.
He was an idiot as well.

Tbh, I disliked this tournament from the start, too big, too many teams, too spread out, too much travelling. The added factor of Trump has made it relatively easy to not give it much attention.

Can you imagine the Prime Minister Keir Starmer turning up on a doorstep to hand free energy to a household for a year and then it turns out they’ve supported the Labour Party for years and met him several times?

Well that’s what Nigel Farage did and he wants to be the next PM?

Media, anything?

The easy answer to this is just not to spend any money in Starbucks. In fact, don't spend any money on anything American if there is a British or other alternative.
The Trump regime's actions are damaging our economy and making us all poorer. They should get a taste of their own medicine.

Why do these twits never listen to anyone who know something about a subject.

He is insane.

And this is an open declaration of intended genocide.

If any other world leader said this, there would be sanctions and an arrest warrant, not just for him, but for his whole regime.

Talking to my 16 year old Grandson, about an article on politics that I sent him. “It was too long Grandad(3 pages), so I sent it to chat gpt to summarise”.

Brexit remains unforgivable in the damage it’s done to our country, our democracy and to people’s lives. Ruinous stupidity, vengeful prejudice and political dishonesty. And Farage wants more of that. Threatening to tear up improvements to our Brexit deal and leave the ECHR.
Jeezus, UK. Wake TF up.

Is it any wonder our media ecosystem is such a mess? The guy in charge of the supposedly impartial watchdog is slagging off the BBC to the right wing Telegraph - which is hostile to the BBC - & defending the fact his organisation has let GB News act share misinformation and constantly promote Reform

Perhaps there's a silver lining to the current war.

The US has been living off Hollywood-fuelled exceptionalism since WWII - "Go, go, USA", "America is Number 1", etc. - but thanks to a failed reality TV star, its citizens are now catching a glimpse of reality: the American dream is not universal.

Screencap of tweet by Colin Parry, father of one of the boys killed by the IRA bomb in Warrington: "Brexit Party candidate for North West England in the EU elections, Claire Fox, defended the IRA bombing of Warrington in 1993 because the IRA was 'defending itself'! Voters should reflect on her suitability to represent them when they cast their vote".

Lest we forget...

Claire Fox defended the IRA murdering two young boys in Warrington ("The right of the Irish people to take whatever measures necessary in their struggle for freedom") and has never apologised.

Below is a tweet from one of the fathers.

Same energy here with Thiel. Funny how his "antichrist" is literally anything or anyone that would regulate his business interests.

British schoolgirl stranded in Denmark after return flight blocked over UK border rules Exclusive: Hanne, 16, from Sussex, was not allowed to board flight to London after weekend in Copenhagen

The slowest of hand claps for the Home Secretary. A British girl can't travel home to sit her GCSEs because of ridiculous rule changes. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026...
