Are you suggesting there is no overlap? That no GB News watchers are avid consumers of online conspiracy theories? My online observational research for my classes would indicate otherwise.

The GB news watchers who get their daily conspiracy fixes from
X and Facebook? Those folk? Who swear by any online pundit spraffing any old nonsense? Whose families break up because of their rigid beliefs in whatever they read on their phones? Those folks? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Really tough being vegan and missing out on so much tasty food…

Just some guac with arbol chilli on rye with che*se, red onion, tomato, cress, and a Dijon mustard vinaigrette…

If you can divert the attention of the faithful, you can insert any number of egregious policies. As long as ‘they’ are focussed on hating/blaming someone who looks different to them.

Worked for Trump vis a vis Project 2025. It’ll work for Farage. Unless we can galvanise public opinion against him.

Now that’s a tune.

At least we, as a nation, are taking the allegations of wrongdoing related to Epstein very seriously.

Looking at you in congress and the senate. Lest there be any doubt…

They are game changers. I mean why would anyone want pigs to be gassed when you can enjoy the alternatives instead? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Brainwashing is not a thing. Propaganda, persuasion, manipulation, influence, indoctrination yes. Abuse sometimes, yes. No one’s brains are ‘washed’ clean and ideas implanted against their will.

There are lots of psychological processes which we have evidence can change someone’s views.

Brainwashing isn’t a thing. No one coerced him. People are, however, motivated to believe someone like Farage if it aligns with their own views.

Brainwashing implies we are passive agents. And we’re not, we have agency and we are not powerless to resist.

It’s great if I’m camping, but it does need ‘something’ it can be quite wet too. But it’s still an improvement and I’m still grateful for the options!!

I make my own with kala namak and it’s way better. The tofoo one is a bit tasteless? I have not…

2 days ago 2 0 1 0

Yeah they are. They look like leg meat I think. They’re sooo expensive though!

I love Tofoo products, just bought their frozen tempura tofu to see what it’s like. I haven’t been disappointed yet (except the scramble which is a bit flavourless but does the job I guess...)

They pass many a taste test! The chicken pieces are great too and if you didn’t know, you wouldn’t know!

Those were Richmond vegan. I’ve got their veg based ones to try. Sometimes Linda Mac. I don’t eat a lot of processed foods but sometimes just fancy a banger ☺️

We want to emulate their nutrition guidelines too…

Dogs looking at a plate of food

Spicy vegan protein banger brunch. Hash browns, sausages, smoked tofu, sautéed pepper and onion with paprika

Our dogs look pretty interested, it’s almost like vegan alternatives can be amazingly tasty too…

I’m increasingly convinced this was the playbook. Tapping into the religious fervour of many Americans. Giving them voice and appearing to enshrine the same values.

And they believed it. They believed he was really God fearing. Because they wanted to, not because there was a shred of evidence.

Ofc it is. I’m trained as a scientist. I always evaluate the evidence. And, the best option is often lifestyle change or natural remedies. But sometimes it’s critical to take the most medical option available.

The medical model treats symptoms, not people. The more we can change that - the better!

..advice, and she respects my preference to heal naturally where reasonable, safe, & while managing risk.

When I found my parotid gland tumours: my consultant allowed me to forgo radiotherapy as I’d managed their growth really well with diet and lifestyle. I still had the operations he recommended.

I take a preventative approach to health. I exercise, I’m a whole foods vegan. I don’t smoke, I do drink alcohol but not to excess (mostly). I don’t reach for medication if I have a cold, or painkillers for a headache or joint pain. My Dr knows me and will always provide solid evidence, I take her…

It’s desperately sad that people believe Facebook comments over medical professionals. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a critic of the medical model in general, and I avoid pharmaceuticals where I can, but there are times you just gotta take the medicine if you want to live.

$30m an hour: big oil reaping huge war windfall from consumers, analysis finds Exclusive: Climate action blockers including Saudi Arabia, Russia and major fossil fuel firms set to make extra $234bn by end of 2026

Windfall profits should be taxed. Profiteering from War and destruction is egregious.

Our farmers may run out of CO2 which means they won’t be able to gas their pigs and chickens to death. Also utterly egregious.

Every cloud…

I just submitted my first ever single author paper on a subject I’m wildly passionate about: misogyny in education.

It isn’t a level playing field in science.

It isn’t a level playing field in society.

There are great actors for change in both domains. But it is not equal. It is not fair.

Here I am worrying about how best to teach my undergraduate students to think critically, to analyse their sources, to read, to investigate, and to develop into pro social, psychologically literate citizens who can change the World, and yet here is also the President of the United States…

To be hounded in this way is horrific, but indicative of some progress perhaps in that lessons were learned from the genocides in Rwanda and Bosnia and that there is significant resistance albeit contested and, in this case, actively persecuted.

Let that sink in: For highlighting egregious harms.

Not content with being King of America. He’s now also apparently their saviour and blessEd redeemer.

Once that ‘liberal’ Pope bows the knee to him, it can all be his.

And still he proceeds unchecked. The ‘greatest’ democracy in the World crumbled by a demagogue who demonises sense and ration.

Indeed he has: And for Europe. The people of Hungary have voted for Europe and against fascism and dictatorship.
