"For 55 years, we’ve been paving, patching, sweeping and plowing a six-lane road that runs parallel to a four-lane highway...carrying twice the traffic volume...
There was an exodus of investment on Main Street ever since. It turns out no one wanted to live or open a business on a “speedway.”"

People who live in the urban neighbourhoods of the City of Saint John experience a constant disrespect and disregard for our daily lives. It's constant and it's systemic. Show me a candidate who understands this, agrees with this, and insists that they're not going to take it anymore. #peoplecity

The penalty is the people who usually walk - will drive.
That means even less parking for folks visiting who have to drive.

Liberty and Waldo intersection with paint and bollards to narrow the intersection

Liberty and Waldo intersection with paint and bollards to narrow the intersection

Grateful for all of the ways El Cerrito city staff are making our streets safer, like this improvement on Liberty at Waldo.

Drivers fly down Liberty, a residential street, avoiding higher traffic streets. These bollards should help slow them down and protect people biking and walking.
