should have seen this coming haha
Did we really expect Chloe to conform to the 'rules' of a fair trade? Peachy may take things up to 11 but Chloe is the OG chaos gremlin. Of course trying to coerce her into doing anything isn't going to go exactly as planned

While based off of some previous work, the guts of the project were nearly entirely remade for the @fishingminigames.bsky.social fishing game jam.
I also was able to bring this prototype to @pigsquad.com's 15th Year Anniversary event on Friday and had a great time, and received some great notes.
After a lot of brainstorming I am pleased to share that a new early prototype of my fishing game is now playable: chaoscomposer.itch.io/another-fish...!
It is a fishing/tower defense hybrid; catch and upgrade fish to defend the planet from aliens! Small scope for now, but big plans for this project
π£April... Fools?
Instead of a prank or joke this year for the 1st, I gift you all... a game.
A Quiet Afternoon Fishing is an idle(ish) game about catching fish and cleaning up a river. And it is available for you to play, for free. #indiedev

have you determined the existence or absence of the speculated "third dimension" hinted at in advertising?
My untitled space delivery game...

(dubious encouragement)
Was super happy to see you in the credits! Worlds colliding once again haha
Long post, sappy post, venty post, hopecore post, idk
I don't know. But I do know we have to show support to those we can. The world is not kind but we can still be. Most of us can't bring about the big change, but we can look to those we care about, through the cruelty, and find that hope for each other.
It was always my intention for Emelia to struggle with maintaining that conviction against a truly cruel world. Every month it feels like that conviction gets harder and harder to maintain for myself. Is it hypocritical to have such a character when I can't face that same reality with that strength?
It's nice to have fantasy as an escape from reality. It really sucks to write a story that says "no, this IS reality, and it's not getting better" and STILL have to find the hope in that
It's here- but it looks different than I expected and looks even more different with every truly vile law passed
Cruelty, injustice, greed, and suffering cannot be "fixed" because they are part of human nature. To look at a world so enveloped and celebratory of that cruelty, and to still believe that world is one worth finding joy in is more and more difficult with each month that passes.
It is difficult for me to embody the strength that I so cruelly have given Emelia. In the face of such disgusting unfairness, it is her belief not that these things can be fully fixed, but that despite everything, the world is still one that has not reached its last resort.
It has been very difficult to write these sequences, especially ones in which hopeful characters are forced to reckon that this is how it is and that some things simply will not ever change. There is no fixing the nature of power and there is no paradise to be found.
It is one where wealth buys safety and those with power have little reason to protect those who do not.
Before the comic's events, society nearly fully broke down, not because of some massive hubris or moral failure, but because of the greed and desire for power from a small handful of men (huh)
I did not intend for the comic to become political - at least not at an on-the-nose level- but as the last 5 years of chapters have played out I find that the blood swelling from my heart is impossible to stop from running into the ink of my pen.
The world of the story is a sad and unfair one.
When I started Heart of Mana, I had plot points written out for years. I know the final scenes, important dialogue for characters only briefly seen in flashbacks, unmentioned by name- and the overall themes I wanted to convey.
One thing I could not plan is the real world
(vague minor spoilers)
LMAO this is so good
bonus content
late happy valentine's day from the main trio of Heart of Mana!
HOLY
This summary I think applies really well to Rakshasa. One of the best parts of UFO50 is that additional incentive for players to try out new genres, which was great framing to get more people over the initial hurdle. I'm sure there are lots of other great indies out there that don't get that chance
2026 Stream Preview, Games I have never played
I want to beat all of these on stream in 2026, we are going to be historians
Am like 95% blind on most of these so should be fun. No nostalgia at all so let's find out which ones are actually good
(order may vary)
I thought it couldn't get much worse over there, and yet.
2026 is the year of being supportive of freakyposting here
that's wild and heartbreaking and you should post her just so we know or something
Book 7 has arrived and is now available for those who enjoy physical media
