any Elliott Smith album?
oh failing is a whole different matter. what do you think is going on? with this structure, sounds like it’s a matter of motivation?
the state of this discourse is such that i have no idea if you are being serious or facetious since that is not a substantial drop (and you started from a high average).
give @joshtasoff.bsky.social a follow. how many economists have written papers about millions of League of Legends matches? docs.iza.org/dp16877.pdf
there is also a longstanding debate about the best Peking Duck, e.g. Quanjude vs. DaDong (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bianyif... this one is the oldest), but i am sure your hosts will take you to all the best places.
depends on who you ask. one big difference is the thickness of the skin, e.g. DTF thinner. have only been to DTF in the US and i hear the Taiwan ones are better. i prefer Nanxiang for both the original pork and definitely the one with crab for the stronger taste. also love Shanghai food in general.
if you like xiao long bao, do go to the original Nanxiang Steamed Bun restaurant when you are in Shanghai (have you been?). go to the top floor to avoid the lines (there is an easily met spending requirement). nansho-mantouten.createrestaurants.com/en/ (they are also known for the pork and crab one)
Gold Plum Chinkiang vinegar
oh, when it comes to dipping, i am not open-minded at all: vinegar only. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhenjia... i am a lifelong fan of Gold Plum Chinkiang vinegar. other forms of black vinegar and red vinegar can be tolerated in a pinch.
yes, a student actually alerted me to the film and other students have engaged with it in their papers.
i am trying to stay open-minded so i will just ask: did you have the maple-syrup-infused xiao long bao? if yes, what’s your verdict?
how would the informed experts be selected?
you will never guess why Aumann was initially invoked
@alroth.bsky.social do any of these surprise you in light of what you cover in the book?
said every single director ever ; )
this jump-scare made me realize that i was unfairly rating Labubu as an outlier on the toy scariness scale when it’s just on par with Furby.
Michael Stuhlbarg played Socrates in a play but the age gap would be 10 more than the actual one. same with Edward Norton. Adam Driver?
are you going to feature these beautiful ones in a scamp-i?
@vinisingh.bsky.social petition to label some referee reports as adversarial poetry
i know people say this all the time, but truly everything i have “learned” about this person has been against my will, so much so that i had no idea what he looked like so when i saw the clip of the interview, i at first thought the interviewer was him.
this will pair well with Harlan County, USA for class
here's one for @sweiwang.bsky.social
couldn’t find a 1996 ROSE to go with Schleinzer’s (2026) and Smarzowski’s (2011)

it’s also interesting to contrast with the reactions to Grothendieck declining the Crafoord Prize or Perelman declining his prizes. those were done for the right noble reasons and their achievements were self-evident whereas she should probably be grateful for this necessary external validation.
the triumph of French contempt over any and all food cults (except for the original French one)
"mental health awareness" has somehow morphed into “we are all experts on mental health now and you are not mental healthing in the right way”
Hello #EconSky hive mind!
Do you have a paper where you compute a welfare measure using an economic experiment and a structural model? I'm looking for examples for my book.
Things like certainty equivalents, consumer surplus, and so on.
as long as you agree that in-n-out is overrated
