Back when my child was looking at colleges, I was so tempted to post articles in the intense parent Facebook groups focused on ensuring your child got the most merit/financial aid when applying to college/university. In the end I did not.

I have ADHD so I have grappled with memory issues my whole life... But nothing like what covid did to me.
I've been bouncing back physically in so many ways over the past few years, but it only makes my mental situation more stark.
Starting stimulants got me 25-50% back but my brain got cooked.
Repeated COVID (infections) are ruining education.
People like to attribute kids failing to do the work to the few months they spent at home in 2020. Choosing to ignore that Covid causes measurable brain impairment and cumulative cognitive deficits in not only adults, but children too.

We printed 2,000 flyers this week for a know your rights neighborhood canvassing event and prepped 1200 mini flyers for another event tomorrow. Others in my group make whistles and zines.
There are definitely moments when I feel very Bostonian, but perhaps the most Bostonian I have felt was in the big crowd outside the Paul Revere House last year on the 250th anniversary of the midnight ride while everyone chanted "Paul! Paul! Paul!" in unison.

I'm not sure how much longer we can continue to ignore Covid for.
It's a driver of the societal decline we're living through. Most parents I know with small kids are sick multiple times a year, some every month. Repeat infections ⬆️ long covid risk & can cause immune dysfunction & organ damage
