I'm so delighted to share that this fall, I’ll be pursuing my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Yale under the mentorship of @dylanggee.bsky.social! 11 y/o Mariana, who presented her research on the brain and behavior at the Calgary Science Fair, is freaking out (some research interests never change ☺️)
Super excited to share that after graduating from Smith College this May, I’ll be joining @shirleybwang.bsky.social‘s Computational Clinical Science Lab at Yale University as a lab manager! Huge thank you to everyone who supported me throughout the process, so excited for everything ahead 🥳

1/n Out today in @jamapsychiatry.com: Interpretation Issues With the Patient Health Questionnaire Instructions. We find troubling variability in whether people think they should respond based on the frequency of the Sx or the frequency of being bothered by the Sx.

So excited to see this out - huge congrats @depressionlab.bsky.social @margaritap.bsky.social @gudruneisele.bsky.social @eikofried.bsky.social & Josip Razum!!
Check out two new preprints from the lab!
First, led by @leilyb.bsky.social: when people rate a 6/10 on suicidal urge severity, what does that mean? And is it the same across people and across time? We use LLMs to examine the content & consistency of suicidal thoughts, in two longitudinal samples.
New preprint alert🚨
We often rely on 0-10 scales to assess suicide urges in EMA and clinical settings. But we rarely ask a surprisingly important question:
What do these numbers mean?
In our new paper, we examine what these ratings mean and how consistently people use them.
