Let me offer you some hope. The TACO meme is real. There are places he has backed down, but you'll never hear about them publicly, because the military are professionals & won't crow about it.

The 'heaps of scorn' are mostly from 2 places:
1) Lower enlisted who are comparing themselves to Nat Guard lower enlisted of the same age. At that SPECIFIC level, the AD guy might have a training edge. That edge will quickly be eclipsed at the NCO/SNCO level.

2) Vet Bro's are toxic to everyone.

Imagine a military investigator, who in their day job works for the FBI. Imagine that guy is deployed to Iraq, and is assigned a job to investigate an atrocity.

They'll do it better/faster than the AD JAG officer most of the time.

I've heard of specific examples in many fields.
