I frequently think about how awesome it would be to have Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Switch / Switch 2! I love the game but the controls on the 3DS are a barrier for me to replaying it.
Or a whole new game, I'd take that too.

For what it's worth I do associate you with Xenogears more strongly than I associate anyone else with it, which is impressive considering it's fairly well-known as you say.

1. Second Scenario: No other choice for #1 feels right to me. Second Scenario has everything: great humour, great character work, brilliant exploration of the game's themes, and a beautiful ending. This route being as great as it is really cements Hundred Line as one of my favourites of all time.
2. S.F.: Hiruko was already a good character, but this route propels her to be an all-timer. Her motivation and psychology as you finally figure out what's really up with her is fascinating. And it's a great sci-fi story past that, tying many other routes together in an extremely clever way.
3. Cult of Takumi: Short but riveting, once again. A fascinating and horrifying look at the perils of disregarding consent/agency, and a convincing, terrifying look at how a good person can fall into utter evil. Both Nozomi and (especially) Eito are incredible on this route.
4. V'ehxness: Short but riveting storytelling. An incredible look at a character who could easily just felt like a cartoon villain, and manages to explain her without ever apologizing for her. Her scenes with Takumi are electric.
5. First Scenario: A solid experience which introduces characters and utilizes them well, having some good mysteries of its own and setting up future mysteries well. Really did its job well of drawing me into the game, but has some great moments which are all its own.
6. Box of Calamity: A great mystery story and perhaps the single best route at using the game's structure to address different story points. Great route for Takumi, Hiruko, Eva, and Gaku. Gaku's ending is pure hilarity. And those two Nozomi-related endings... chills, man. If you know you know.
7. Slasher: The zombie branch is mostly bad storytelling (though with some valuable lore), but the core mystery of the serial killer is brilliantly told with amazing twists. Also has some great Hiruko content; Goodbye Kiss remains one of my very favourite of the hundred endings.
8. Eva: This route single-handedly saves my opinion of Eva the character, finally letting her step out of her narrow box. It's a great examination of her situation and the SDU's complicity in it, and seeing her finally show agency is wonderfully cathartic.
9. Romance: Occasionally heartfelt and surprisingly good at that, but mostly this is just hilarious, much more than you'd expect from the name, and a great showing for several characters. Kurara in particular, she is the worst and I love her.
10. Coming-of-Age: Perhaps the most natural continuation of First Scenario, it's got great content for Nozomi, Eito, and Kurara. It's got a pretty fluffy tone for the most part, but it still manages to go to dark places and do them well.
12. Multiple Eitos: Fun psychological horror story with good character work, even if the villain's plans feel like they work a bit too well.
11. Casual: A short route with a unique mix of comedy and horror, it works well with the themes of the game.
14. Killing Game: Oh boy. Its good points (Yugamu, humour) are very good. Its bad points (Nozomi/Eva, the "game" itself, the plot generally) hold it back, though.
13. Rebellion: A great concept and it ends well, but it rushes things and suffers from having just one member of the 'resistance'.
16. Mystery: A tale of three murder mysteries, unfortunately one of them is terrible. The others are pretty fun. Character work is shaky, though.
15. Retsnom: A neat hook and a good character study of Darumi, but quite slow after the route kinda chickens out from its strong start.
18. Serial Battles: A route which is basically nothing but battles. It's a neat idea, but would work better if more of the battles were unique and fun.
17. Comedy: At times surreal, and at times funny, but not consistent enough to justify its length. Not even one of the funniest routes, sadly!
