corgi looking into pack-n-play bassinet at swaddled newborn

Monday, we got a clear for her Jaundice. Got carseat tested and we were finally cleared to go home.
It's been one hell of a whirlwind week but we are home, Miss Maesie is devouring bottles and hours of sleep but we are making it work.
She is the cutest little thing and you will not change my mind!

We were moved to postpartum room and waiting for the all clear to go home after both blood pressure checks for me, and tests for Maesie.
Sunday early morning after concerns from some nurses, Maesie was tested for Jaundice. Her numbers came back higher than a previous test and she got her "spa day".

After a not so quick panic we went, were admitted and after asking a second opinion/better explanation had another blood test confirm it.

I was induced at 3pm Wednesday.

Maesie arrived at 4:02pm Friday March 6th, at 37 weeks.
Her weight was 5 pounds 7.5 ounces

So, update
We are home from the hospital. Discharged Monday afternoon.
After appointment March 2nd my doctor was concerned w/ my blood pressure, my blood was tested with concerns about preeclampsia. Wednesday morning I was called by the clinic and told I needed to go to the hospital to be induced.

Still at the hospital, little girl needed an extra day at the spa.

While I won't be sharing many photos of my little one I thought this one would be fine.

So, this one hatched a little early.
Looks like me and the owl will have our hands full with this one for a while...

Had this happen several times. The one that hurt the most was when I was going through to check active invoices and seeing that one of them got the suit I quoted them for done by someone else. Just went and quietly deleted that one...

Is THAT what's wrong with my orange flavored menace? He keeps staring randomly at the ceiling fan and I've been wondering if it's because he sees the reflections.

And I really REALLY don't want to fall into that even further and spiral into postpartum depression by self isolating.

Next year is going to be really hard

A change I want to make for the new year is to Try to be more social

One of my big fears about having a kid next year is I'm already a bit of a recluse. I feel like nothing I have to say is interesting. And I don't want to annoy people by always talking about fursuit stuff.

But this one hits different because I doubt we'll be able to go to a con again until maaybe 2027, since we'll have our hands full with a newborn.

After I finish my queue I'll be taking a hiatus and only working on premades and personal projects.
