Who wants decaff?
Posts by Cetacaff
Thanks, Jaeh! Plenty of coffee in stock for those that wanna try Ko-Bold or Resident! Shipping will likely hit after Christmas if ordered now.
Bought some local roaster's light roast to compare against mine. Wow, it has almost no flavor. Maybe I'm onto something...
What if I did a special sale for coffee, for pickup at MFF?

Do you like darker, bolder roasts? Look no further than Ko-BOLD. Plenty in stock!
NEW COFFEE AVAILABLE:
Not a fan of the darker, bold coffee? This medium roast is a great crowd-pleaser. Check it out at cetacaff.com
New roast launching tomorrow
We're not sitting on our laurels. Got some fun stuff to come.
Seems pretty common for people to dropship coffee.
I do not do that. I spent a long time buying and roasting beans from a local trader until I got the flavor I wanted. I personally bag and label everything. When you get coffee, it's straight from me.
Interesting in getting your own post/art sponsored? Anyone is welcome to apply here! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
DOES ANYBODY WANT COFFEE?!
TOMORROW
I've been trying lots of other coffees for espresso. Gotta say, my stuff absolutely competes.
Labels ordered!
We're so close...
I'm still alive! I've started roasting a bit just to make sure I haven't lost my touch, and I certainly haven't. Definitely still doing this.
Quick update: once the labels are done, I'll be opening the site to orders, but that's not going to be very soon. There's a very specific person I want to work with on this and for a passion project like this, I don't believe in replacing people like cogs in a machine.
Some sample roasting from last weekend, since it warmed up.
Happy Friday!
Brewed some Ko-Bold today. Almost got a perfect shot (I'll post a vid on it eventually) and boy that is a DEEP flavor, definitely lives up to its name. I think I can roast it a bit darker next time, though.
Interestingly enough, Happy Orca Medium tastes best when you slightly "overextract" the espresso. Normally you'd go for a 30 second extraction, 36 grams out. I went for 35 seconds and 32 grams out. It smells as if it might be a sour shot, but it ends up being very earthy and bold
Beans have been sent out to the sponsors, boy do I ever hope they like them.
Great news! I've got the sponsor roasts sealed and packaged. The padded envelopes are just barely big enough, and I got to use an impact heat sealer for the first time. They're very slick, just one second to seal the bag, no need to preheat anything. It's like magic.
Roasted 4 pounds today. Ko-Bold on the right, Happy Orca Medium on the left.
Dang, coffee bag labels are expensive. About a buck per.
Yeah, if I'm gonna roast, it'll have to be Saturday. way too cold this week.
I want to be transparent as possible within reason, and as such, this is what I'm thinking for the sponsorship form. Any questions/feedback?

Not to mention, if that weren't the case, then no games' terms of service would ever apply. I'm not having someone renovate my house, I'm having them do a sponsored post. Nothing massive. You do thing, I pay you. You keep all the rights.
I was initially going to do a proper esign contract and everything, but a) it's expensive and tedious, b) you can form a binding agreement with checkboxes and a google form. You don't need a signature in blood for that, there are plenty of implicit contracts.
