Senator Scutari's grossly irresponsible e-bike bill has advanced again, despite being a knee-jerk reaction to 2 women being murdered by a man using a car as a weapon. It would criminalize e-bike riders and discourage safe and sustainable transport, and it must be stopped.

Right now there is a proposed bill requiring insurance, registration and a license to ride ANY e-bike in NJ, including low speed e-bikes that go under 20mph. This bill lumps all low speed e-bikes with higher speed devices under the term “motorized bicycles” and eliminates the

The horrifyingly ignorant, destructive, one-size-fits-all NJ e-bike bill cleared committee today in Trenton. We all need to burn this atrocity to the ground. Please tell your state legislators, present and future, and stay tuned here. @njbikeped.org @njbwc.org @mikiesherrill.bsky.social

N.J. bill would require licenses, registration and insurance for all e-bikes Under the proposed N.J. bill, riders of all e-bikes, even the slowest pedal-assist models, would need to license, register, and insure them.

New Jersey Bike Walk Coalition is opposing the disastrous legislation advanced by statehouse Democrats, which would require all e-bikes, even Class I e-bikes that are limited to 20 mph, to be regulated the same as motorbikes, with license, registration, and insurance. www.nj.com/news/2025/12...

Op-Ed: Micro-mobility solutions are needed to combat traffic on NJ's Gold Coast - Hudson County View Op-Ed: WNY resident Michael Elling discusses what needs to be done to convent North Hudson and South Bergen from "micro-mobility wastelands."

Hudson County built a Protected Bike Lane, huge win! Hudson County has one of the lowest car ownership per household in the nation. Space and infrastructure for people to travel around the County safely with light rail, buses, bikes, and more is imperative!

There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.

A Classic Childhood Pastime Is Fading Kids on bikes once filled the streets. Not anymore.

"When enough children bike—or simply get outside— neighborhoods can be transformed. Research shows that when children play in the open [...] parents feel more of a connection to their neighbors.

"As fewer kids venture out, neighborhoods lose those social ties."

Today, I visited Maplewood to sign legislation expanding driver’s education to include lessons on how to safely and responsibly share our streets with pedestrians and cyclists.

This law is a critical step forward in our mission of ending road fatalities and building a stronger and safer New Jersey.

Fulop is our only hope to halt the insanely wasteful NJ turnpike widening and reinvest that money in transit. If you live in NJ please vote for him.

Mayor Fulop has worked *hard* and *persistently* over the last decade with progress on street redesigns, on the bike lane network, on transportation alternatives. Zero deaths in 2022 but he's kept going. He is about outcomes, not symbolic announcements. He will take that same approach to the state.

•Launched the largest microtransit system in the U.S. (w/Via)
•1st in NJ to adopt—and 1st in the U.S. to achieve—Vision Zero
•Built NJ’s largest protected bike lane network
• ferries

Debate Closing — Why the democrats running as establishment candidates in November will not win
Debate Closing — Why the democrats running as establishment candidates in November will not win YouTube video by Steve Fulop

My closing argument from last night’s debate. Some may not want to hear it — but it’s the truth.

I know many people feel an emotional connection to certain candidates in this race. But we can’t afford to let emotion cloud strategy.

In these meet & greets ppl ask all the time what will I focus on in the first 100 days if elected. From Ranked Choice Voting, to turnpike widening cancellation, to COLA, to large warehouse moratorium… these are the 1st 10.

the most important election this summer is making sure Cuomo doesn’t become mayor

the second most important election is the NJ Gov primary. Fulop is the only candidate who is unapologetically pro-housing. even more importantly, he will redirect over $10B in highway widening funds to transit

Steve Fulop on Mass Transit
Steve Fulop on Mass Transit YouTube video by Steve Fulop

Mass transit policy is one of the key differences between my campaign + others. From my early support of congestion pricing due to health/environment/transit common sense, or my early commitment to cancel the $12b turnpike widening project + using the $ towards mass transit - youtu.be/pqa_y9qXho8

All: I’m backing @stevenfulop.bsky.social for NJ Governor because he gets it. He’s consistently stood against the Turnpike Expansion, supports congestion pricing and actually supports safer, more bikeable, people-centered cities. No flip-flopping; just bold, steady leadership. That’s rare to find.
