If you're not using up 100% of your workspace, then why have such a bit workspace? gotta spread it all up and take advantage of it!
Bit of a hiatus, but work continues on my next port, it's coming along nicely, and it does things very differently from other games I've ported so it's been a fun learning experience. Here's the current progress for it, enjoy!
I will warn you CV 3 is much much more difficult to port. Either the US version, which uses the MMC5 mapper, or JP version which uses VRC6. So it's not something that I know I'll be able to do. And if I do, it'll take a while :)
The best source for all the great retro projects going on!
Not for this one. There aren't really any enhancements other than a bit of rumble controller support.
Note that there's not a lot of extra features in this one. It was a very straighforward port, as a game without any kind of mapper.
As always, let me know if you find any problems!
Box art for a Super Nintendo game called Ice Hockey, depicting 3 players, a large player on the left, a medium sized one in the middle, and a taller skinnier one on the right, all dressed in white and blue uniforms. The game is rated Kicks-Ass, has the Super NES Rumble Pad support icon, and the Rumbleminze logo of a beagle on the box.
A special extra port that I did over the last week or so. Ice Hockey! In honor of the double gold medal winning USA Men's and Women's hockey teams at the Olympics!
No big features here other than a bit of rumble support if you've got the LRG controller.

retrorgb.com/castlevania-... - Thanks @retrorgb.com for the write up! I'm really proud of this port of Castlevania II, it's got so many great features, and was both a challenge and a lot of fun to port!
Let's talk about memmaker and configuring our autoexec.bat files!
Picking 9 is way too hard. And would probably be different if I did it again. Made with my9games.com
So happy to see PS4 on there. More people need to play that one
Can't wait to dig into @jparish.bsky.social 's new book!

Olympic hockey has been amazing throughout! Great games!
Links to the port are in my pinned post. Both archive.org and mega.nz builds have been updated. And as always, if anyone finds any issues, please let me know.
I was finally able to dig into why my Castlevania II SNES port's Save Menu was locking up only in Snes9x. (For those curious, it appears to be something related to how it handles reading the $4210 register).
I've updated my port to version 1.2 which should now fully function in Snes9x.
Well shoot. I do need some more snes boards...
Incredible. I am going to take a breath and marvel at the fact that Magic: The Gathering players have just raised $75,000 for @translifeline.org in a little over 8 hours.

Kid Icarus Uprising Switch 2 port
I've been spending some time the last few days collaborating with Fiuke Bnuy on this update to my Castlevania port. I think it's going to be really cool if we can pull it off. All of the tilework is done by Fiuke, I've just been providing scaffolding and support on the romhack.
so many awesome retro projects going on these days, it's an awesome community to be a part of
Here's an interview with Video Game History Foundation's Frank, where we talk about their Sega Channel finds, the NES's launch and lots of other stuff. Just search any podcast app for "RetroRGB Cifaldi", or check out the main post here: retrorgb.com/interview-with-vghfs-fra...
Sent you a DM here, you should be able to reply to me there

The June 23rd one appears to be uploaded by someone else, and is marked as Spanish. I'm not sure if they just re-uploaded it or actually translated it.
FYI, seems like the in-game save menu in Castlevania II is not compatible with Snes9x. No idea why since it's fine on original hardware. Passwords should still work.
No plans for any other major features, enjoy!
Honestly I can't believe I didn't realize how much stuff you walk behind in the NES game. I've speedran that game, I made the randomizer, I've played it hundreds of times. I guess my eyes just ignored that ><
And now a fix for my latest game! I missed the knockback sound effect (actually all dcpm sfx, and am going to go back and see if CV2 uses any more). I've rectified the situation and updated both archive.org and mega.nz locations with the latest file. Music disabled in this clip to demonstrate.
mega.nz and archive.org have been updated with the new versions. I briefly tested all of these, and they all seem good, but as always if anyone finds any issues, please let me know =D
