An in-situ pen and ink drawing of what I think, my tree identification skills are quite poor, is a Cedar Tree. Either way it was very big and impressive. Unlike the drawing which is in a tiny A6 drawing book.

Two new linocuts. Both sea and coast. Different ways and both complete fabrications.
A bit of a "Flash" exhibition this one. At least one linocut from each of the years, some have more, showing in the Balcony Gallery. If you are in the area, take a look.
If you can't then this is a reminder for Warwickshire Open Studios (June/July) when you can see all those and many, many more.
I once did quite a few drawings and a rather bad linocut of the bone works.
An in-situ pen and ink drawing (ignoring the climbing children obviously) in my tiny A6 sketchbook - whilst avoiding shopping.
I am making linocuts - honest.

A Tree in Caldecott Park, Rugby and a poem. Ink and pencil in a tiny A6 drawing book. #inkdrawing #treedrawing
I have a number of pieces of work in this show at Delamore House. Set in fantastic gardens in the heart of Dartmoor it is well worth a visit with or without the art and it has a lovely cafe as well, what more do you need. Check out their website.
Leamington Spa drawing
"The Parade" an A6 size ink and pencil drawing made in situ in Leamington Spa.
"Cawston Trees" ink and pencil. It's time to draw tress again. In situ drawing along the old railway line near to where I live.
Linocut Sescape unfinished
Never finished this, in January I put it aside, thinking I would return. A few failed linocuts later I looked back at it. It had been calling to me for months, and doing so had mentally got in the way of new pieces, thinking about the laborious task of completion didn’t thrill me - so I binned it.
“The Clashing Rocks" reduction linocut. The myth of Jason and the Argonauts. The original intention with this was simplicity, the most basic of reductions. As usual things got away from me and weeks later and far too many layers I finally said, "enough is enough". Next time...
A little video of two linocuts "Ultima Thule" both use the same base linocut whilst using different foreground blocks. These were made while I thought about completing the 4 other linocuts I started a while ago.
Eight studies made at "Art at the Alex" in Rugby. Lamy Pen and ink and coloured Derwent drawing pencils.
Quite a small part of an ongoing linocut with a few more days to go, but I thought it worth showing this part.

Linoprint4 is still going strong in Whitstable at the Horsebridge Centre where you’ll find a lot more than just the linocuts to look at - or buy. #linocutfriends #linocut #printmaking #reliefprint
Thank you very much Gavin. As with many things, seeing them in the “flesh” is always different to online.
I started this a few weeks ago, it went through a number of drawing iterations and changes. I may, I may finish it, but thought it might be of interest to show how far you can get before realising you got it wrong.

Coffee and poetry, what's not to like.
First drawing in a new (little) book.
Pen and ink... and coffee.
I am only just coming to terms/grips with Bluesky but the post will start…
