So fresh *and* so clean?! In this economy?!

The #Artemis II livestream continues to be the best thing on the internet. ๐
The return-to-Earth live coverage begins at 6:30pm Eastern (in about 90 minutes) with splashdown in the Pacific scheduled for 8:07pm Eastern.

If AI tools don't bring about software engineer unions, I can't imagine what ever will.
Pre AI tools I used to say that writing the initial implementation was cheap; maintenance, migrations, support, product complexity were expensive. AI helps with some of these today but not enough. How are organizations ensuring they don't ship new features ahead of their ability to support them?
I heard a metaphor likening the new AI code generation tooling to compilers 40 years ago, and I get it, but also these tools feel like burnout machines.
Will some software start having a "made without AI" label like the "made in America" label?
I'm curious, tech friends: do you enjoy your job any more now due to AI tools, or is the expectation just higher and everything you do higher leverage?

I would have enjoyed doing the Carvana pickup experience with the girls! Still might get a chance if the dealer doesn't accept my offer
And the Sunset needs more parking!
I have now extended an offer on a car I have not seen in person. I have done all of the communication with the dealer by text. I am living the millennial dream.
What about Funston (13th) and 14th? That pairing makes me angry each time.
(as you know, since this is your job)
Looking at a 2024 XC40 Recharge AWD.
Spouse did not want to street park the Ioniq 5 due to length.
XC30 is same length as Bolt but a huge loss in capacity.
The intersection of AWD, fast charging, and <= 175 inches is real slim.
We're replacing our Bolt with something that can fit chains and can charge faster. I think the EV used market will go wild in the next month, and I want a faster charging car that I can take to Tahoe in the winter.
I may be buying a car without seeing it in person (besides listings, from a reputable dealer). It's a certified pre-owned, I've seen its Carfax.
What should I ask to see to help make this decision? I'm getting a video walkaround from the sales rep.

I don't get the reply, but I enjoy you Eric
He's about to fall victim to one of the classic blunders!
When I was in college, a woman invited me into her dorm room and explained, for an hour, how she just wanted a man to passionately kiss her. I did not passionately kiss her. (It took me nearly a decade to understand what happened)

if you build the LEGO container ship in the US is it technically Jones Act compliant?
"You're responsible for what people hear, not what you say" is the best management advice I ever got. It empowered me at work to get more stuff done, because I didn't just stop at saying "Well I told folks the right answer and what to do", I actually worked to make things happen.
