A giant monster punching out a dieselpunk robot.
It's actually the head of a giant dieselpunk robot. You can see a second one battle some sort of giant monster later in the intro.

It's that old joke of self-proclaimed Sega fans (Sonic fans) being surrounded by a wave of Sega releases and going "Why has Sega put nothing out?"
I built up a tolerance. Comes with living in a place that turns into an oven from June to September.
They fear the dumpy.
The internet was a (small) thing then and it was the 90’s. And we can’t really count A Death In The Family as that seemed more like a slow boil that DC exploited for publicity.
Not enough jazz.
The thing that really sells what a blight Avengers #200 was is that it managed to provoke enough backlash from fans to force a retcon; in the 1980's, before internet.
I was born in '96 so I might be wrong, but that just didn't really happen before the 80's as far as I know.
Don't forget that the Bronze Age may have tried to make small moves away from racism it was still very sexist.
Highlights include World's Finest #233, where the heroes discover "the true horrors" of feminism; and Avengers #200, where Carol Danvers gives birth to her rapist and no one bats an eye.
I would beat this guy in a fight even if I were trying to lose.

"This is fine"
Me chilling out in the 90-105F temps of the California Central Valley summer:
No, it'd be Hermes. The one on Fry died of starvation, remember?
The photo is mightier than the bullet.
Kelly Marie Tran didn't deserve the shit she got. No one deserves the shit she got.
If it makes you feel better, we seem to be doing it out of order.
Honestly, that's the only explanation you need for things like luxury liners.
"Why is this luxury liner built this wa-" Looks cool.
Now when we're talking military vehicles that's different as you gotta mix cool with practical. But even then you can still get cool vehicles like the X-Wing.
Huh... didn't expect that.
A werewolf approaches two girls, one pointing at it with a revolver and the other frozen stiff. Joel and the robots from MST3K are riffing on it but Crow's part has been partly erased to keep the artists name. Because I have standards, dammit.
Thanks, but I actually made two small errors, the left edge wasn't fully covered and the alt-text had Crow spelt as Cow. So here's the finished version, so help me God. I've put more thought into an MST3K shitpost than I reasonably should have.
Monica and Lenora stand next to a ferocious wild werewolf from The Mad Monster, part of the MST3K series of pictures.

When you mentioned MST3K I felt compelled to do this for the gag. Had to erase a bit of Crow so the artist signature can remain but I think it was worth it.
I had to reupload the image because I didn't do the erase right on the layer. This is what I get for not using zoom function on GIMP, sorry.
I wanna know how they fucked up the leading lady's makeup so badly that at 34 she looks older than my mom currently does at 62?
Space Mutiny?
The first two, A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, are top tier sci-fi/fantasy space operas; and the third, Return of the Jedi, is a not as good but fine enough conclusion.
Everything after that is very much a case of “enter at your own peril.” Both the prequels and sequels.
Also avoid the fandom.
Is it just me or does Diana's leg feel like it's a little off. Her upper leg looks a little too long for how it's supposed to bend and also too thin for her body. It's like she's got gangly legs that don't match her body.
Or maybe I'm over thinking this. Either way I still love the art!

WHEN I FUCKING GET YOU!!!
Doomguy would kill Tucker and then go to hell so he kill Tucker again and again.
A Dad so terrible that he's the only character the author explicitly sent to hell.
Hey-hey it's dad's day!
The best adaptations are those that are set in the universe but tell a different story that keeps the general idea. Like Fallout or Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
Straight retellings to film can work, like Sonic 3 adapting SA2, but even that had to massively rewrite the story and cut things to make it fit.
The biggest thing I learned is that Suzi was in pornos. Which means fucking nothing because she's put that life behind her.
Also, "family friendly" and "talking about Resident Evil" only belong together in some form of the statement "Talking about Resident Evil isn't family friendly."
