Cytolethal distending toxin B inoculation leads to distinct gut microtypes and IBS-D-like microRNA-mediated gene expression changes in a rodent model Diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D), associated with increased intestinal permeability, inflammation, and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, can be triggered by acute gastroen...

A big deal for patients with #IBS. CdtB toxin is shown here to produce changes in gut #microbiome similar to humans with increased small bowel E. coli (hydrogen producer) and Desulfovibrio (H2S producer). This model will help develop new drugs for #IBS. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

This is the second busiest time of year for @mastprogram.bsky.social as we prepare to submit abstracts for DDW. But it's also the most exciting. New data everyday for the next two weeks. So many new discoveries that will help patients with #microbiome, #SIBO, #ISO and #IMO, and metabolic disorders.

Gave a presentation and answered questions from 300 people with #IBS/#SIBO. It was sad to hear that patients are still being dismissed. Glad I could be a resource on the latest science.
