Malta, Belgium, and Iceland are the top countries for LGBTQI+ rights in Europe. The UK, Hungary, and Georgia saw steep falls in LGBTQI+ rights in the past year. Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey place last.
LGBTQI+ rights are human rights. This is no more apparent than in the “Rainbow Map,” an annual report by ILGA-Europe @ilgaeurope.bsky.social, an Open Society grantee, that ranks 49 European countries on their legal and policy practices for LGBTQI+ people.
