Thank you @stickydoodler.bsky.social!
I tried to consolidate everything I've learned about soft skills into an hour long presentation. Hope folks find it helpful :-)

That's so sweet. I don't have any planned signings, but do live near Labyrinth and would be happy to coordinate a time to meet up! Send me a message and we can figure something out!
Drawing dragons-as-worms based on their dragon "facts" would be pretty epic!
Though drawing dragons from only their facts (without the reference image) could be pretty fun too.
Clementine is incredible - her site is here: blule.fr
Giant bush covered in bright pink flowers.
Walked by this lovely bush earlier this week.
One of my JoCo cruise highlights was snagging an advanced copy of Shades of Forever by @chriswarcraft.bsky.social.
I thoroughly enjoyed it & highly recommend that sci-fi/humor/video game fans check it out when it's released later this year.

Oh, it all makes perfect sense. Such a fun idea & I love to see what pops up every year!
Love this April Fool's tradition. A real bright spot in a "holiday" that otherwise falls incredibly flat for me. I just wish it hadn't sold out in <1 hour!
Will be curious if you find it helpful! It definitely gets me into the right mental space!
i bet it all on "will the strait of hormuz open by april" on polymarket. desperate, i launch a solo mission to open the strait. piloting a boat down the persian gulf, i immediately get blown up by a mine and die. "first person to get blown up by a mine in the strait of hormuz" pays out on march 31st
I think it's important to normalize the failures too; we all have them. It's very much part of the process!
This is true, though I'm pretty sure my pendulum swings back and forth every few hours. I was feeling like an idiot all day and now I feel brilliant!
(Likely back to idiot tomorrow. So the cycle goes)
Big thanks to Gene for this thread! A lot of my game design advice (particularly around soft skills!) is boiled down & summarized here!!
Yeah. I'm definitely looking into other options. It was just NOT a great diversion for the afternoon!
As near as I can tell, this hell feature is an "accessibility" setting. Someone posted a solution to turn it off (buried deep in the accessibility menu), but adobe crashed each time I tried to change it
I'm seriously losing my mind here.
I mouse over anywhere in this document and it summarizes whatever the mouse is over. This is WILD. GenAI is OFF. I cannot find any other setting and now I have to bizarrely scroll while making sure my cursor never touches any part of the document
I'm about to flip the table. I'm reviewing a PDF of game graphics & am trying to add and review comments.
Every time I hover over one of my own goddam comments, Adobe *replaces it with an incorrect AI summary of the underlying graphic.*
Every AI setting I can find in Adobe is TURNED OFF. Jesus
I suppose that's some vague comfort. I just...can't even fathom what kind of mindset you would have to have to choose that framing.
There is so much moral rot in mainstream media. I shouldn't still be surprised by it, and yet...
A sketch of a polite dragon
This is so charming.
Yes! I'm excited to venture outside my native habitat
Yeah. "Don't give a shit about others!"
I feel this; it's a constant struggle. One news clip completely obliterates my focus & has me questioning why I'm spending my time making games instead of doing....some unspecified thing that would help.
The success of Wyrmspan is absolutely incredible and humbling! I'm so grateful to Jamey, Elizabeth, and the whole Stonemaier team for the opportunity to be a part of it :-)
Yeah, that would have been nice. Pretty disgusted with the whole thing TBH. I know that hockey is largely maga, but hate being reminded of it
More than I expected, honestly. At least only like 80% of them are trash
As a fan of the sport, it's been so disheartening
Awesome! Really glad they fit the bill :-)
I really like these refillable notebooks. At this point I have one for every prototype. They come in some nice (smaller) sizes too so you can throw them in prototype boxes, and you can get lined or unlined refill pages: www.jetpens.com/Lihit-Lab-Pa...
Becoming a billionaire requires an extreme amount of selfishness and callousness. No surprise that once you're a billionaire, those traits remain.
