seem to be quite a few Italian chains opening in London. see Indegno on brick lane — 2 spots in Bologna and they’ve opened their third here, with the new additions of some local classics: paneer and chicken tikka cresentine (sound quite good imo)

last summer I Camisa shut its doors for good, after opening in 1929 on Old Compton St.

previously my go-to spot to buy obscure pasta shapes, stock up on mutti, practice a little Italian or get a £5 sandwich or £2 coffee

variant Variant is a magazine with the independence to be critical that addresses cultural issues in a social and political context.

Loads of wonderful writing in the new Variant magazine. Happy to have contributed a piece with Anthony Iles on experimental forms in communist publishing - ‘Form & Against’ variant.org.uk

as i understand it ‘April’ refers to the events in Italy in ’77, named after Maria Macchiocchi’s book.

obviously very close to Emery’s later pamphlet ‘after Marx, jail’ — given the events of March that year, as well as April 1979 in Italy, the two terms are near-synonymous

looking for some more info on the ‘after marx, april’ group who wrote ‘we want to riot, not to work’ and also put on conference with bifo, guattari etc. in camden in 81.

The Crisis and the Rift: A Symposium on Joshua Clover's Riot.Strike.Riot - Viewpoint Magazine Alberto Toscano, Amanda Armstrong, and Delio Vasquez on periodization and proletarian self-activity in "the new era of uprisings."

‘My wagers are these: that the riot can now be thought as a fundamental form of class struggle rather than an impolitical spasm… a sundial indicating where we are within the history of capitalist accumulation.’
