Hi @diannesaxe.bsky.social constituent here! What the hell are you talking about? I know all the poorly placed construction pylons in our ward make it hard to see things from your bike, but my god this is obtuse

These big events show the woeful disconnect between city staff, council, and in particular the Mayor's office. A month away and we should have a much more complete communication package that everyone understands
Oh god. Am I the bad guy?
Then they made the right choice.
I honestly don't think this is that big of a deal. You need a guarantee of attendance and a fee helps that.
If going free standby line and a scheduled ticket guarantee cutoff time is the solution. "Tickets guarantee you entry until X"
Girl then pivot! If it isn't a priority, move resources to a BRT.
I know Chow won't listen. Doesn't really listen to anyone. But we could potentially break the timeline by convincing Bradford that this would defeat Chow in an election.
This is an insane price and Mayor Chow should be held responsible in explaining why this is better than a more efficient BRT that could serve Scarborough during her next term.
Let's get some real representation in our ward again.
Just a reminder that THIS is what we were supposed to get. Now staff are watering down an already watered down plan
No ambition, no courage, and not even listening to the thousands of people who’ve asked for pedestrianized spaces in the city. Instead, Yonge will be car-choked.
We will raise hell.
This is all true. But south of the Gardiner is a "dangerous" place to a lot of people not from the core. It's all vibes because of the awful pedestrian crossings under the Gardiner.
Family in High Park, Markham, North York, all want an airport expansion.
Not to encourage their behavior, but I can see how the issue builds out. Add the hustle culture and I can see how the behaviour is normalized. Getting them onto true e-bikes would be the best way forward IMO.
I live above McDonalds across from the ROM. It's insanely busy with delivery folk hanging around for orders. The city has built ramps off the bike lane and they are used appropriately, but there is only so much space to park those mopeds so they start mounting more length of sidewalk.
Besides restricting the sale, could there be restrictions on vehicle class registered with delivery apps?
We need to get the terminology defined and blasted out by the city with standard infographics. As someone chronically online, I honestly don't know what we are talking about half the time when we say "e-bike". I appreciate the "e-moto" term in your post!
A plan to expand the conservatory in Allan Gardens will enhance this place of greenery, calm, and respite, writes Alex Kharabian spacing.ca/toronto/2026...
And only kills one bird.
The curbside lane isn't being used for through-traffic anyways; it's parked cars and food delivery mopeds. Would be easy to install some barriers and designate food delivery parking.
I didn't take a photo because they were right there, but the next set of cars blocking the lane were of course Toronto's finest PD, eating street food.
They should let me submit the photos I took of me walking down Yonge St last night. The parked cars and delivery mopeds have already pedestrianized this lane.
Speed Racer is a slutty Spy Kids that says f*CK capitalism. Is this the movie of the socialist movement? If we wear slim cut European shirts with kerchiefs, we too can unlock our Kung Fu skills to defeat capitalism?
My eyes melted. What a great IMAX release for 420.
I'd like to vote for the person who says that staff driving across the parks in a truck is no longer acceptable.
A moderate person could understand things like once in a decade weather. But then the Mayor's response was less than a shoulder shrug and offered no path forward in accountability. Anyone I talk to that I wouldn't consider active in the political circle still talks about it if I bring up Chow.
I doubt it, but my first thought would be Chow pivoting more to the left. Bradford can play the moderate because people aren't seeing visible changes to the city. The vibe is critical this spring and summer after the disastrous snow clearing. Said to my husband she lost that winter weekend.
And by Amphitheatre, I mean Bandshell.
How did we go from Biidaasige Park planning to this? The people (me), yearn for a Millennium Park.
The amphitheatre should have programming year round, but a great opportunity to create outdoor music programming in the summer with anchor tenants.
Good Morning little Percy 🥰
Yes, his full name is Parsifal because my husband is a saint.
Would love a Mayor with a vision!
Young person with braided hair gently touching foreheads with a large red horse puppet, holding its muzzle, in warm golden light.
Big congratulations to the @torontosymphony.bsky.social and Red Sky Performance for the premiere of She Holds Up the Stars! Puppetry was created by the same team as Rocky from Project Hail Mary #AmazeAmazeAmaze
