It’s that time of year again. A darker take on The Good Life, perfect for Halloween or just another grim night in Blighty. Less pumpkin spice, more existential dread.
Watch it while you still can, it disappears at midnight on Sunday.

Thank you @hannahkent.bsky.social
Loved the book, it draws you into the atmosphere and I was captivated
Must watch. This will literally be the best four minutes of your day today. Shout out to Keith Edwards for highlighting this and the geniuses at Executive Odors for an amazing Shitler hit piece. Links to both below. Let’s boost the viewership on these links. Fucking amazing work.
Having just finished it this review fully captures everything about this book. It hit so many personal notes as well. Thank you for sharing
Sunrise 25000, started the day with a solid strength session
@puregym.bsky.social not impressed with the Taunton site, using for a few days whilst visiting my brother. On Wednesday batteries in both bikeergs flat so won’t connect to app to follow training session.
Reported to manager but no action taken Thursday or Friday ! Not good enough and the shower is 🤮
It's #buyastrangerabook day.
In honour of Rhianna Pratchett's amazing Monstrous Regiment auction (link in attached post), @wheatles.bsky.social is offering to buy someone a copy of ANY of Terry Pratchett's books.
If there's one you'd like, get in touch!

90 minutes of Devon hills for my birthday treat, 68 isn’t so bad 😂
Auf der Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin steht: „Heil Tesla!“
Tesla Gigafactory, Berlin - right now!
In cooperation with @ledbydonkeys.org
So 44.41 VO2 max on a ramp test (bike so not ideal for a runner) isn’t too bad for a 67 year old
Especially relevant for the older athletes, don’t look back at your past accomplishments. I have found picking up new skills in which I can see progress helpful.
This is going to be fun 😱
#versaclimber
I’ve been lucky enough to have one of my own for over 30years (on my 5th) it covers all the bases, endurance, intervals, I sometimes do fartlek sessions on it
Probably half your run duration to start, I’ve been using for over 30 years and it still kicks my ass #versaclimber
I would rate the Versaclimber above anything else for cross training for running
I prefer maintenance days, yoga and mobility. Maybe some technique work with the bar or light mace. Using the time constructively
To be fit! A age 67 I still run (slowly) train on a bikeerg, heavy clubs , macebells, kettlebells, yoga and mobility. Good for the body and mind
If I hit the target I up the watts slightly next time
I try to do a good hard vo2 session every couple of weeks. I program it into the erg data app and use the pace rider as a target. My current one is a good 20 min warm up then 2500m at 240 watts, 3 min recovery 2k at 245 watts 3 recovery, 1500@250 watts 3 recovery 1k@ 255 2 recovery 500m all out.
It’s just a way of focusing my training, the longer stuff will be ok for me as I have a big endurance base. It’s the shorter power effort that will test me as I definitely don’t have many fast twitch fibres
Hi John, I’m planning on registering a time/distance for all the ranking categories by my birthday in Feb🤞
I’m still ticking over on my running all be it slow. I also do macebell and heavy club training 3 mornings a week.
