Agreed. I actually think that might be my favorite part of it currently 😅

It's ok. It's just another tool. Not that much different than v0, Cursor design mode, Paper, etc imo. Great for communicating ideas fast with decent prototypes. Designing through prompts and "tweak prompts" is missing the actual design thinking unless you're giving it a prd, uxr insights, etc...
I may as well have gone to another planet.
This gets me every time and it's more infuriating with timed carts.
The hubris of present tech culture is thinking it is...
Engagement on this site seems fairly low amongst the folks I follow. Not sure how much more it’s worth checking. At this point I’ve cut most social media except for instagram and occasionally threads. Sad, because this place has the fundamental experience mostly there.
Keen to see if Tinyforge and smaller models can run well on the MacBook Neo. I love the principles behind a small model like Tinyforge. If the you have the right context and a large enough window, it could potentially be performant and more useful than using larger models? github.com/ranausmanai/...
Terminal to Ghostty, Chrome to Helium, Hex for dictation, Claude Code TUI. I'll add more as they come.
I've put my new MacBook Neo through some product design and front-end development paces tl;dr avoid electron apps or don't have multiple open 😂 They crush performance. Here's what I've found to be a great and performant stack: Cursor to Zed, GitHub desktop to lazygit, Docker desktop to Orbstack...
Yesterday I picked up a MacBook Neo in Citrus. I can't remember the last time I was so excited to buy an Apple gadget. My son and I saw one in Target and it just looked so fun.
Hex has one of the nicest dark mode aesthetics I’ve seen in a while.
I don’t think so. It needs an abstraction layer of an experience to be remotely intuitive, economical, and adoptable by everyday folks.
My good friend Boris made a pretty indispensable AI workbench for macOS. Definitely recommend checking it out!
Smus, this is very cool!
It’s the only way to cope working through these dogshit days.
I feel you on this. The worst part is how it makes me more agitated by the dumbest and littlest annoyances.
January is for listening to A Perfect Circle.
I assume you've checked out Darktable. It doesn't seems like there are any great photo catalogs with advanced raw processing like Lightroom. www.darktable.org
Nice! That music collection though 🤌🏻
What are your favs atm
It’s 2025 and Apple Music still doesn’t have playback handoff.
Why do so many startups feel the need to create videos when they raise vc or do a new product launch? It's ridiculous. I don't believe it's helping your brand awareness in the ways you think. More often than not, the videos are ai slop cringe worthy.
Meanwhile, designers on the former bird site are spewing nonsense like this.
How the mariners pulled Woo is baffling. I don’t even blame Bazardo for his moronic down and in pitch to Springer (are you fucking serious?!). It was Wilson’s call to pull Woo. Why not put in Munoz? So dumb. #mariners
Are college radio stations still a thing?
deep cut.
Time to burn it all down and rebuild.
using blur and spring effects via tailwind?
