that was a lot for a ‘basis’… but this is a really basic version of my reading ^^;

this is also the kanade we see in flashbacks who has a lighter sweeter voice and is more playful and who did things like cooking and housework. she takes after her mom. when her dad collapsed, her trauma from her mom’s passing got triggered and this shattered her sense of self further.

that K and kanade have repressed and has gone mostly dormant, but we see in instances like the bloomfes story. she was formed when tiny kana dissociated her mother’s passing to take care of the house and try to continue as normal and when her father collapsed, parts of her split into K and kanade…

rather than look at it in shame, though still has some guilt. also takes slightly better care of herself and is less seriously focused on composing and more atuned to people’s emotions.

i don’t have a name hc yet but also… middle school/younger kana… carries some more childhood memories

kanade = the sweet awkward kanade we see who shyly laughs and likes making tea and hanging out with her friends, still carries a sadness but is able to put it aside for brief moments (dissociate) and appreciate her past (albeit maybe forgetting the hard parts)

to redeem herself and gets triggered back into front by the feeling of failure or the topics of family and memories. this is how kanade quickly goes from suddenly seeming better and like she understands stuff to almost arguing with herself on how seriously she has to take composing.

she’s stuck in a constant cycle of trauma and guilt, so she hates anything that feels like a waste of time, it makes her anxious and irritable and more self loathing). she’s the main part that thinks they don’t deserve to eat, drink, socialize, or sleep. all she can focus on is composing

I’LL MAYBE TRY TO MAKE IT SOMETIME NEXT WEEK but like the basis of my interpretation of it is K = main story kanade, the really serious one who keeps thinking their only purpose is to compose and save others and who locks away the harsh memories (which is why she’s always so moody,
