Zeynep was amazing today, especially in the first set. It was absolutely top-10-beating kind of performance.
On the other hand, I love Jasmine (who doesn’t?) and would love to see her go back to playing like what her ranking suggests. This was not that.
Already excited to see Zeynep v Leylah.

I respectfully disagree with “unbelievable” 😊

Tell me who your friend is and I will tell you who you are.
Just heard from Ajla Tomljanovic in Love All podcast that she is close friends with Cirstea and Bencic.

No sir, I don’t follow your account and I didn’t add you to my list. It’s a personal feed anyways, but I don’t see you there.

Is there a way to read it without a subscription? A gift link if possible?

Just saw that yesterday in the Challenger final in Rwanda, Marco Trungelliti beat Marco Cecchinato. Remember how Trungelliti gained attention in 2018 when he entered RG at the very last minute as LL, who lost in R2 to Cecchinato, who then went on to beat Djokovic in the QF?
They’re still out there.

The camera did a good job not showing that guy sitting next to Agassi.

This has not lived up to the hype.

Alex Eala wants to see tennis grow in countries where it is not the biggest sport. I asked her how she thought her popularity has helped the sport grow and introduce new fans to tournaments around the world. She says
Tjen, Sonmez and Tararudee also have that impact.

Watching Jasmine v Tomljanovic, I find myself once again thinking how weird it is that everyone who was featured on the first season of Netflix’s Break Point except for Felix and Fritz went on to get lost in the wilderness.

Oh to be young and discovering the classics (from 90’s) 😌

Doing a mental cleanse by listening to an acoustic concert of Yeni Türkü. The recording is from 2021, when these things were recorded without audience and released for free, but the songs are of course from before the turn of the century. Spring is in the air!

I restrict my relationship with the art itself in cases like this. If it gets to a point where I can’t even enjoy it anymore, then I end my relationship with the art too. There’s so much good art out there.

I had the same thought, but those guys don’t like spending money or giving anything for free 😅

I don’t know the story behind the decision to end their partnership, but I think it’s a shame that Turkish Airlines, which sponsors basketball leagues, foreign soccer teams, now even a tennis tournament in Mexico, decided not to support the career of the best Turkish tennis player we have ever seen.
