Have to hand it to Luxon this is a pretty good bit:

monday: ok i checked & at least 5 hate me so much they are leaking regularly. this is normal, please don't put it in the newspaper
After 27th April data release, economists will start saying this is a necessity.

see how EASY the messaging is????
“Rather, business confidence
measures how the business community feels about the economy. And our recent research suggests these feelings are strongly influenced by politics.” #nzpol
Here we go. Could even be May.

Not necessarily, but imo there has been this entire side to this discussion largely ignored by most reporters. We'll find out in 5 minutes!
Before: President Trump threatened the kind of destruction that would be deemed a war crime under international law. After: Even if the president does not carry out his threat, his violent rhetoric risks damaging his credibility as a negotiator and the country’s standing in the world.

Don’t Rule Out an OCR Rise ✒️
Money markets have recently priced in earlier rate hikes than previously expected, and all major banks have increased their rates accordingly. Unless something very unexpected happens, the OCR is going up. It’s just a question of when: now or later?
Still don't understand those Greens & TPM supporters who shout about Luxon/ National getting a 'bad deal' or being 'weak' in their coalition agreement with Act & NZF.
Leverage in coalition negotiations is *the* goal for minor parties... you should have thought about this.
how are there not MULTIPLE press conferences being called by NZ opposition parties demanding that the government decouple from the US and condemning the threats to Iran??
MPs with institutional power should be escalating things as much as they can here. An utter UTTER failure by our representatives
1/200 S2E190 - April Fuels
We talk Cabinet Shuffle and National Party machinations, NZ First got their anti-trans bill drawn from the ballot, greyhound racing is being banned, and we round up the global situation.

for the last *decade* it has been ZB and now, more recently, it's also the Platform and Reality Check - I am not joking and it's why I have gone on and ON to left and centre pol institutions that they MUST create alternative media ecosystems. unfortunately, mostly ignored due to hubris 😌
Link? I hope he has given the govt his policy opinions & suggestions for this global crisis 🙏
Gracindas minister for everything is the current leader of the Labour party & says he doesn't have a plan for this crisis because he's not in govt. The 'We are Seeing Nats in Charge in a Crisis' head shakers in labour just aren't credible until they change these obvious issues.
you are smugly saying 'oh everyone knows about china now, everyone is a sinologist?'
i am smugly saying 'oh everyone knows about distribution of knowledge now? everyone is an epistemologist?'
we are not the same
first they came for chris luxon & i said yeah cool

then they came for chris bishop & i said good
then they came for chris penk & i said this is going great keep going
finally the green party has announced a party list that balances experience with fresh new talent unlike 2014, 2017, 2020, 2023
very good to hear that the opportunity doesn't accept donations with strings attached (as far as this person knows)
Left column = not ready to govern
Right column = ready to govern
it's become really fucking blatant now
(but it's been the overt rightwing media strategy in NZ for at least a decade)
They never should have rolled Bridges. He was probably going to lose, but not by any more than the alternatives. He was the only option to bridge the gap between factions without being stupid enough to trip over his own feet.
why is there no bafta Discourse on blue sky what is the point of a wokescold platform at moments like this
thank you christoph luxon for getting nz back on crack
Almost a century since Keynes predicted the 15 hour work week. All we get from establishment media & political parties is telling us we will have to work until we die.
People with moderate ideas to actually improve workers lives (like this) are thoroughly marginalised.
taking 1 for the team by being sexist about willis in the week before the election through tears & gritted teeth
Boil notices will manifest as a series of disasters tasted through empathy with imagination that gets closer and closer to where you live until you're the one drinking it
house prices should go up for house owners & down for non house owners
Ok but is that good or bad? If we could see previous % increases it would mean something
