Stepping Up & Down Stairs in Godot 4 For this guide, I’ve configured: Jolt Physics 60 physics ticks per second CharacterBody3D.safe_margin = 0.001 CharacterBody3D.constant_speed = true CharacterBody3D’s CollisionShape3D.shape.margin = 0....

If you're looking for stair-stepping in-depth with godot I recommend this article: dresswithpockets.github.io/2025/03/19/g...
I use the same methods for my game and it is flawless. Helped me pick up parts of the routine that I wasn't doing before.

The effects do well to add impact to such a simple game. I need a little project like this to learn multiplayer

Although if this was a fast-paced shooter I'd be taking the w/o effects look just because its easier to read.

It's out there. I think of Rogue, Dwarf Fortress, or Cataclysm: DDA which all use text as their rendering but are action/strategy games.
