Interview with Author Anita Moskát and Translator Austin Wagner “Liecraft” is a layered story of fascinating relationships, deception upon deception, and a dynamic environment of buildings and...

!!! "Austin and I also have another project we’re working on, a translation of one of my novellas. It’s called Freedom of Contract"

I really liked this one in the original Hungarian, so I'm happy to hear it's going to be translated into English!

AN ANCIENTE MAPPE of FAIRYLAND newly discovered and set forth. London: Sidgwick & Jackson, 1918. I have a copy of this map of fairyland by Bernard Sleigh in my study to ponder other worlds. It's filled with awe and wonder.

Bunny Ears - Nightmare Magazine Hannah’s first impression of Colden Hills Music Camp is that, for a place with “hills” and “music” right in the name, it’s too flat and way, way too quiet, and the one thing she initially thinks must ...

The audio version of "Bunny Ears" is now up for your listening pleasure/terror! @nightmare-magazine.com's podcast team knocked it outta the park, like always. Thanks to Roxanne Hernandez for the tremendous narration.

Yesterday I saw a great interview with Naomi Klein where she talked about how the forces of American fascism (from oligarchs to Xian fundamentalists) are connected by their belief life on our planet is over.
I don't believe that.

“Why do you never find anything written about that idiosyncratic thought you advert to, about your fascination with something no one else understands? Because it is up to you. There is something you find interesting, for a reason hard to explain. It is hard to explain because you have never read it on any page; there you begin. You were made and set here to give voice to this, your own astonishment.”

A quote from the essay, Write Till You Drop, by Anne Dillard.

Did a recording last week, so the podcast should be out soon. Reiterating, that I'd love to hear from female, queer, and other marginalised content creators. Whether you want to discuss scifi, horror, fantasy, wuxia or Chinese cultures, I'd totally be up for it. Your voices are really important!

so ossified
and so crunchy

and also i am not sorry

As a niño in Mexico City, I learnt my science fiction and fantasy EN LAS CALLES. Half a dozen tamales got you an alien invasion by hyper muscular broccoli by a compa that also sold cuetes every Friday by el Super 7.

It's still a bit surreal to be *working* for Uncanny, much less hear my name at the Hugos!

I still consider myself just a person pulling the levers behind the curtain, so it took me a day or so at the con to realize I could *meet* our writers.

I even unknowingly sat next to an Uncanny writer (1/2)
