It is the wee one's first year in Chinese school. And I jumped way out of my comfort zone and joined the all-parent volunteer Dragon Dance group. Today we performed for the Lunar New Year celebration. It was incredibly fun, and I am now exhausted.

Gods I love a down weight takeout. Not everything needs to be obliterated for the takeout to be effective.

One child is poking the snow with one finger, one is bashing it with a fist, and one is scrunching it with all of their fingers. It is a STEAM lesson on matter and primary colour mixing, disguised as goofing around in pre-k.

Presenting: my fave annual lesson, always on a post-snow delayed opening day. It incorporates four senses to observe snow, descriptive language, sensory play, exploration of changes in matter, reasoning, prediction, and mixing primary colors.

I'm very proud of it. 🥹

US Men's hockey team stays in the bin.

U.S. men's hockey with Curt-Schilling-in-Boston levels of good will squandering. A 25-mile lead in the good will marathon and they tripped on their dicks right at the finish line.

It will be quite interesting to see over the next couple of days what, if any, statements come out from team members. There have been so many displays of sportsmanship, support, and integrity throughout the games, that it would be a shame for this to be the lasting moment.
