Trout has tied Utley.

Future Hall of Famer Jose Altuve is two home runs away from tying Future Hall of Famer Chase Utley.
2009 Topps Heritage Baseball Flashback card of Bill Mazeroski, showing him rounding third base after hitting his famous home run to end the 1960 World Series. A couple of young fans are there to greet Bill.
RIP, Bill Mazeroski. Hang on Vern Law and Bob Skinner! #cardsky
(5/5) Of the sixteen players ahead of Beltran on every leaderboard:
7 are future First Ballot HOF
6 had scandals keeping them out
This leaves Chase Utley, Ken Boyer, and Sal Bando as the snubs.
(4/5) And here are the eleven-year and twelve-year leaderboards.
(3/5) Here are the seven-year, eight-year, nine-year, and ten-year leaderboards.
(2/5) Here are the three-year, four-year, five-year, and six-year leaderboards, just for players ahead of Beltran on every leaderboard.
(1/5) Prior to this year's results, Andruw Jones was one of only 17 non-HOF players to be ahead of Carlos Beltran on all ten leaderboards.
Now both players are Hall of Famers. This leaves 16 ranked players (and 2 Hall of Famers for context) ahead of Beltran for every peak length.
Teams in the "Final Four"
NFL: 20
MLB: 19
Ten years also cuts out the four championships won by teams named "Giants."
If you can't genuinely answer a question, just admit you were wrong.
Like, is it really that hard to say "I was wrong," or admit you were mistaken?
You seem to think sarcasm is a replacement for a basic understanding of things work.
The one spot is part of the full roster.
It quite literally is. That is the main job of the GM.
Chase Utley ended the pre-results portion of ballot season at 69.0%. We've added 15 post-results ballots since then and Utley has been on 13 of them! With 260 ballots tracked, Utley sits at 70.0%.
Utley has *never* been at 70% in the Tracker (min. 10 ballots) until a few minutes ago.
My highest ranking player at each POS not in the HoF (no PEDs, betting) and where they are ranked at that POS:
C Thurman Munson (16)
1B Keith Hernandez (21)
2B @hofutley.bsky.social (7)
3B Graig Nettles (14)
SS John Beckwith (5)
LF Charlie Keller (10) !!!
CF Jim Edmonds (16)
RF Bobby Abreu (18)
Not even joking, during the middle of this video I got a FanDuel ad, where Blake Griffin says "Player Props" over and over again.

When Utley and/or Whitaker get in, this will no longer be the case, but for now it is kind of funny that being a better defender as a middle infielder LOWERS your chances of getting in the Hall of Fame.
UPDATE: Odds of making the Hall of Fame
All time:
1000 RBI & Runs - 51.1% (119/233)
as a Middle Infielder* - 68.8% (22/32)
w/ 50 DRS - 66.6% (10/15)
Since 1900:
1000 RBI & Runs - 50% (106/212)
as a Middle Infielder* - 79.1% (19/24)
w/ 50 DRS - 77.8% (7/9)
*51% of games in Middle Infield

Some great research and data
Also proof positive that Utley belongs there. Good news is chances are he makes it next year or year after at the latest.
