I recommend it 1000%! I will say that it is easier to customize Mii face paint & other items (food, treasures, pets, etc.) with the touch screen, but even with that aside, you can get some very funny interactions & be able to shape the island to how you want it.

Wart, an anthropomorphic frog king, sitting with his belly enlarged. He spots you (the viewer) and beckons you to come over to him. He is licking his lips in a hungrily manner. In terms of games, he is the final boss of Doki Doki Panic / Super Mario Bros. 2/USA and is an NPC named Mamu in the game Link's Awakening. In terms of movies, he appears as an antagonist in the Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
You can never deny a king the food he wants when it comes to him being hungry, and it seems Wart wants you to help feed him. Though it looks like there isn't anything around for him to eat. There are no vegetables or anything, so... What could be on his mind that's making him hungry?
