That didn't used to be a controversial take, but its a bit mkre of one now. Regardless, all of the games are represented on modern platforms so that part isn't accurate anymore. Kingdom Hearts 2 only has one game between it & the first and I'd argue its optional, you dont need it to understand KH2.
