Well we can figure that out if we manage to finish the first adventure.

Anyone wanna try playing #DnD on Bluesky? Anyone who's around can play for whoever's turn it is, but I need 4 more character submissions to start.

I've still got just the one character sheet submission. Some other ppl have indicated they might, but I haven't gotten sheets yet.

This project is probably dead in this form, but I'll still give it a go if I manage to get those character submissions.

TBF the way Elven culture is often displayed is pretty elitist and yucky

Are you? No commitment, just drop in and out when you're available. I just don't want to try to start until I have at least enough interest to get 5 character submissions

I'll allow it

To hell with it. If I can get 5 character sheet submissions I'll try.

Rules:
- level 2
- anything official WotC
- anything MCDM
- if you really want other homebrew you can ask.
- first 5 get used

Recommend making them easy to run since it'll be drop-in, drop-out

5 characters needed, any number of players can participate. Every PC turn will be played by the first person to reply.

No idea if this will work but it's gonna be fun to try if I can get enough interest.

DnD_5E_CharacterSheet - Form Fillable.pdf

I think this is fully form-fillable on mobile

I think standard set would be better if you want to create a version with standard set stats for this.

Can I get a typed version? Don't care if it's a photo or form fill or dndbeyond, I just can't read some of the handwriting

Oh, standard set or point buy

If I get enough interest I think I'd like to give this a shot

I just wanna say, 2 months ago I was a person who thought I couldn't draw my character, and now this is my character and a friend's in my new campaign.

My views on this are certainly evolving as my perception of the barrier to entry for drawing changes.

I actually have started drawing a lot, and have another account over at @dailymonster.bsky.social

I'm still totally ok with people freely using my work non-commercially, but I'm no longer convinced that AI art is unstoppable.

I know there's a lot of artists on here. As someone just learning, I'm trying to decide if I overworked the head and neck between these two versions of the dragon I'm working on, or if it's just in a weird transition and I should keep going.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thought I'd be running combat tonight, but my kid took 45 minutes to investigate the entrance to a goblin hideout and figure out how to handle a pit trap.

Oh well.

I did the local game store route. It's really common for stores to run games.

Look into the CR rules MCDM put in Flee, Mortals! (Which you can enable on Kobold Fight Club) probably bump the difficulty by one step (med to hard) for a sidekick.

YES.

I finally went out and found a group to play with, and now I'm running a duet game for my 6yo. I'm now spending all kinds of money on books and stuff but WORTH IT

Sure, but to utilize that compassion they have to understand that these AI tools were trained on stolen art, and I don't think most people do.

2 years ago 0 0 0 0

Correct. I recognize that not everyone holds the same opinion though.

I'd like to see the companies who built these models without artists permission held accountable.

I also think it's silly to ask every individual to understand the nuance and just not use these tools for personal stuff.

If someone copied my work to show off at home or in any non-commercial setting I can think of, I've got no problem.

2 years ago 0 0 0 0

Well that depends on how much we're gonna gatekeep that word I suppose. Do I make art? Yeah. Am I any good? I don't think I am in the kinds of media that AI threatens. Do I make money from it? No.

AI coding is more relevant to how I make my money.

I'd agree with you if I had any hope at all that Pandora's box could be closed.

I have no problem with people using AI art for their personal stuff. People want to be able to show what their character looks like even if they can't draw or commission an artist.

If you're selling it though, hire someone.
