Could Viktor Orbán be back in 2030? Why Péter Magyar has a fight on his hands after landslide win A key challenge facing Magyar will be to undo the system Orbán has put in place to exercise control over Hungary.

Beating Orban was the (relatively) easy bit. Magyar now has 4 years to keep Orban's Fidesz out of power long-term. He needs to learn lessons from other post-populist countries like Poland and the USA.

When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 stamp duty on her flat, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should immediately resign if she had “any moral decency”.

Now we learn he personally made £91,000 in excess payments by failing to pay the tax his company legally owed

Impossible to disagree with a single word that Ben Rhodes (Obama era NSC official) is saying here:

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.

This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.

Tucker Carlson: "It's vile. It begins w/ a promise to use the US military to commit a war crime. Those people who are in direct contact w/ the president need to say 'No. I'll resign. I'll do whatever I can do legally to stop this, bc this is insane. And if given the order, I'm not carrying it out'"

Reform accused of using third party to turn crypto into c... Digital currency donations have been turned into sterling to make them much less easy to track, sources say

So it turns out Reform are laundering their donations through crypto, before converting them into cash, hiding the original source of the money.

So who is really funding Nigel Farage and Reform UK?

Farage endorses neo-Nazi event in paid-for videos
By Kat Brown

Extracts:

Nigel Farage has sold personalised videos in which he has endorsed a neo-Nazi event, repeated extremist slogans and supported a man convicted over his involvement in a far-right riot.
The Guardian has analysed more than 4,000 of the Reform UK leader's Cameo videos, for which he commands between £78 and £155 each, and found several clips that it described as "highly questionable" Among numerous clips sending birthday wishes, Farage (inset) has made videos for people who support the National Front and publicly express offensive views, has referenced antisemitic conspiracy theories and made misogynistic remarks about left wing politicians.

Since joining the platform five years ago, farage has charged at least £374,893, making several videos a day, according to the newspaper.

In one video, Farage ridiculed someone "simper-ing for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's big naturals" - a reference to the US congresswoman's breasts.
In several videos Farage used a variation of the slogan if in doubt, kick them out". Dr Ashton Kingdon, a lecturer in criminology at the University of Southampton, said the phrase was a "well-established far-right slogan"
Farage charged €155 for a video made in 2025 for a man jailed over his involvement in a far-right riot. He told him to "keep acting in the right way" He also said "up the Rhodesia" in one clip, appearing to reference a white-minority southern African state, now Zimbabwe, idealised by white nationalists.

A spokesman for Farage told The Guardian: "Mr Farage has recorded many thousands of videos for genuine supporters to celebrate wed-dings, congratulate friends or send novelty messages. At that scale, the occasional mistake can occur."

They said the videos "should not be treated as political statements or campaign activity" and added: "He has long been clear in his opposition to extremism and political violence."

In response to revelations about Farage’s racist, Nazi-sympathising, misogynistic, greedy little video side gig, Farage’s spokesman said - if you’re grifting your arse off as furiously as Farage is-
“occasional mistakes can occur”

Yes. Easily done. If you’re a racist, Nazi-sympathising misogynist.

Just fascinating to see Blair, a man whose reputation was ruined by the Iraq war, advocate joining a war that is exponentially stupider and more chaotic. How is it possible to learn nothing from the worst mistake of your life?

If I was @zackpolanski.bsky.social, I would be pointing out to the BBC that whatever model they use to justify giving Farage & his boot-lickers season tickets for every BBC show under the sun must surely now treat Green Party politicians in exactly the same way. Might even be one for the lawyers...

Who is to blame for Brexit (and nationalist populism)? A strange new elite theory Over the past couple of weeks, British newspapers and social media have been awash with articles and posts about a strange theory explaining the rise of ‘National Populism’ in the…

How ironic that Goodwin was beaten by someone who he claims he speaks for! Perhaps his elite theory is not that sound and perhaps far right ppl like him and Lee Anderson don‘t speak for the working class after all? 🤔

📰 📺 What do Jeff Bezos's management of the Washington Post and a Swiss referendum on licence fees have in common?

Both are cases of 'media vandalism' that seek to benefit nationalist populist agendas. 💣

'Massive Hypocrite' Robert Jenrick Given Brutal Reminder After Blaming Labour And Tories For Housing Crisis He seems to have forgotten a key part of his CV.

Robert Jenrick blames the Tories and Labour for the housing crisis ... neglecting to mention he was, er, Housing Secretary for more than 2 years in the last Tory government.
