Nowadays, whenever I have a bout of formless anxiety, I get to play the game of is it the world, is it my life, or is it the perimenopause of it all?
The answer is undoubtedly all three, and the solution is to accept I’m anxious, then try to go for a run to tamp the nerves back down
Also it’d be cool to see people re-learn that skill. We had an oral tradition for so long… I’m convinced our memory for songs and melodies wouldn’t be as well-developed if not for that

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.
The solution is the same: a societal shift towards the sense of a shared responsibility for our communities. Not that one single man should bootstrap up an entire community.
