Something I wish Mastodon could do that BlueSky already does is allowing use of custom domains without setting up a full-fat Mastodon instance. I know there are workarounds but they aren't as elegant.

E.g. On Mastodon, best I can do is verify my domain. On BlueSky, my handle IS my domain 🙂

Personally I think the extra protections they're adding should make those people happy who didn't originally want it.

It's a logical next step for Mastodon, considering many people see it as a core 'repost' functionality and without it Mastodon feels less feature-complete.

I don't know what you mean by "pitiful" considering historically and logically tariffs lead to increased prices due to demand. Considering how bad it was when grocery prices skyrocketed 2023-2024, this is going to be at least just as bad. Yet, we're going to just sit back and be happy to suffer ig 🤷🏻‍♂️

They do so well together! Other isopods on the "medium" side probably would do fine too. My understanding is the exoskeleton is undesirable to jumping spiders so that's how it works so well

I'm still trying to decide on how to best present the mealworms. These pictures are before I covered them with dirt.

Zebra Isopods

I've been trying to figure out how to house my jumping spiders and isopods together.

This terrarium contains zebra isopods (Armadillidium maculatum) & regal jumper spiders (Phidippus regius), which coexist peacefully.

These have been my gateway to getting over a fear of spiders that I've had. Spiders are so important and they just want to live their lives where they think they'll thrive. Sometimes that's in a house, and if you disagree, you can just put them back outside.
