The White House has backed us all into a corner.
Joined Sen. Art Haywood to present $400,000 for the Women’s Center at Chestnut Hill Hospital!
This investment helps ensure women can get high-quality care right here in our community!!
Celebrating a holiday rooted in freedom and renewal, a time for reflection and being with family and loved ones.
Chag Sameach!
As a state representative, I remain committed to showing up, in Harrisburg and in our community, to support that basic dignity today and every day.
This isn’t complicated. People should be able to be who they are without fear, without barriers, and without their identities being treated as a debate.
Today is Trans Day of Visibility.
It’s a day to recognize and uplift our trans and nonbinary neighbors, and to affirm something simple: everyone deserves to live openly, safely, and fully as themselves.
Here at St. John’s today, we helped older adults save money and stay mobile. The SEPTA Senior Card means free rides to the doctor, the grocery store, and places they need to go.
For many in our community, today is a reminder of the power of community, compassion, and faith.
Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating! 🌙
With antisemitism and hate crimes on the rise, this is exactly why we fought for and passed funding in the Pennsylvania House to protect houses of worship. Hate and antisemitism have no place in our communities.
Today a man rammed a vehicle into Temple Israel, a synagogue near Detroit, prompting an active shooter response before security stopped the attacker. Thankfully children and staff were safely evacuated.
Should Pennsylvania have a millionaires tax?
Massachusetts passed one and it’s already generating billions for education and transportation.
Rep. Fiedler and I are exploring what it would take to bring that idea to PA.
Voting must be free from intimidation, including from our own federal government. I spoke with Roxborough’s own Al Schmidt about Pennsylvania’s safeguards. I’ll work to ensure every option is on the table to protect voters. youtube.com/shorts/s_Bv8...
At budget hearings, I spoke with Secretary Redding about my bill with Rep Takac to increase Ag Innovation Grants. These investments help PA farmers stay on their farms and keep our ag economy strong. 🌾
I asked Secretary Siger about our bills to lower housing costs, including for first time homebuyers. Increasing housing supply is basic economic common sense.
Year of the Horse. Time to move and bring a little extra hustle!
We’ve got work to do in Harrisburg. Funding our schools. Keeping transit running. Raising the minimum wage so people can get ahead.
Wishing you health, prosperity, and joy in the year ahead. Happy Lunar New Year!
Remembering the life of Reverend Jesse Jackson.
He marched with Dr. King, built the Rainbow Coalition, and ran for president to expand who had a voice in this country. He challenged America to live up to its promise of fairness and dignity for all.
That work is not finished. Rest in power, Rev.
Here at City Hall this morning because this is a city, commonwealth, and country of laws, not unchecked force. ICE and DHS must answer to the Constitution, to due process, and to the people.
At this week’s policy hearing, a school administrator was blunt: Washington’s cuts are leaving our kids with fewer resources and fewer opportunities.
Slashing supports for our kids to bankroll tax cuts for the wealthy is unacceptable.
I won’t stop fighting to protect our kids.
Police are asking anyone with information about the person who spray painted Roxborough High School with racist and antisemitic graffiti to contact the Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353 or 215-686-3354, or call 215-686-TIPS (8477) with tips.
Over the last three years, PA House Democrats cut taxes for working families and small businesses.
We tripled the Child Care Tax Credit and raised the property tax and rent rebate.
Common sense. Fairness. And some breathing room for families.
PA House Democrats passed one of the strongest anti-poverty measures in years — the Working PA Tax Credit sends dollars straight to working families.
Online and sports gambling companies profit most from problem gambling. That’s why I led a first-of-its-kind study to figure out how we protect Pennsylvanians and put real safeguards in place.
Making sure families have enough to eat isn’t charity. It’s part of our shared belief that all people are created equal and deserve a fair shot at a good holiday. 🦃💙
With the support of Peace Islands, Share Food Program, NewCourtland, and my staff and incredible volunteers, we got 90 turkeys out to neighbors today!
Grateful to share a prayer in the House inspired by our veterans, our teachers, nurses, laborers, and the Sisters of Saint Joseph — who remind us that service and humility still unite us. 🕊️!
Our work in Harrisburg isn’t just about numbers — it’s about uplifting people and our shared by values..
The same values at the heart of our nation’s founding: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
