Today is Trans Day of Visibility.

It’s a day to recognize and uplift our trans and nonbinary neighbors, and to affirm something simple: everyone deserves to live openly, safely, and fully as themselves.

Here at St. John’s today, we helped older adults save money and stay mobile. The SEPTA Senior Card means free rides to the doctor, the grocery store, and places they need to go.

For many in our community, today is a reminder of the power of community, compassion, and faith.

With antisemitism and hate crimes on the rise, this is exactly why we fought for and passed funding in the Pennsylvania House to protect houses of worship. Hate and antisemitism have no place in our communities.

Today a man rammed a vehicle into Temple Israel, a synagogue near Detroit, prompting an active shooter response before security stopped the attacker. Thankfully children and staff were safely evacuated.

Should Pennsylvania have a millionaires tax?

Massachusetts passed one and it’s already generating billions for education and transportation.

Here at City Hall this morning because this is a city, commonwealth, and country of laws, not unchecked force. ICE and DHS must answer to the Constitution, to due process, and to the people.

At this week’s policy hearing, a school administrator was blunt: Washington’s cuts are leaving our kids with fewer resources and fewer opportunities.

Slashing supports for our kids to bankroll tax cuts for the wealthy is unacceptable.

I won’t stop fighting to protect our kids.

Over the last three years, PA House Democrats cut taxes for working families and small businesses.

We tripled the Child Care Tax Credit and raised the property tax and rent rebate.
