why would you do that? Half the fun is trying to figure out what kind of madman did the networking design without any reference material!

cutting the excise was just as dumb. Supply is limited so supply and demand has caused prices to rocket up.

So we make supply cheaper, thus allowing demand to push it back up because supply is more affordable.

And we start that cycle all over again

Rock and a hard place though right?

Say nothing -> "Gov doing nothing to help the battler"
Do a presser -> "We're clearly fucked and they're going to lie to us about it"

The presser isn't for anyone with a shred of critical thinking capabilities, it's for those who only hear sound bites

I find my keylight is the worst at keeping an active wifi connection - I've just stopped using it as a result.

Real national resilience does not come from staying hooked on imported fuel. We need to electrify the economy and transport, expand charging infrastructure, modernise the grid, and make it easier for households and businesses to cut oil dependence.

For some reporting I have to export from one web app and import into another. I wrote a Copilot SDK app to do it using Playwright.

The site to export from just had a UX overhaul, Copilot was able to navigate it still from the prompt and did its thing.

This is magic.

We haven't looked at the 4. The pure draw of the Buzz is the look. It's range is really hard to grapple with, but it just looks fun!

BYD also does V2X but we didn't enjoy the drive of the Sealion.

The Zeekr is a very futuristic car to drive

Zeekr does, kia and Hyundai have V2L with 240v in the boot, but unsure if it can do to grid.

Mike's doing some crazy cool stuff with electrification of farming

ah damnit I didn't know about that one. We'd written off the Elroq because it doesn't have a big enough boot

I drove a friends volvo and yeah, it's nice, but the price is really up there compared to some of the others in the market.

Over the past few weeks my wife and I have test driven the VW ID Buzz, Zeekr 7x, BYD Sealion 7 and Kia EV5 (with Hyundai Exelio and Volvo EX40 still to try), and we're still no closer to an agreement on what EV to get 😅

A bunch of computer surgery today and I've got a PoC boot of an old Mac Mini with Ubuntu to expand my homelab.

The drive with Ubuntu doesn't actually fit in the Mac Mini, it's just a temp replacement to prove it'd work before I flash the "real" drive
