This woman and I have something in common. We both want to be an eagle when we grow up. #bird #birds #eagle #house #photography

Heron. Notice the waves are different showing how the heron didn't move as I snapped these two photos. #bird #birds #heron #nature #photography
Ever wonder where #rocks on a #beach come from? I think that most of those shown here came down the gully shown at the end of the #video. Over dozens of years (certainly long before the railroad tracks were put in) the waves moved the sand around them so they slowly slide further out and eastward.
Spring Blossoms. #trees #blossoms #nature #photography
Barnacles. Two large barnacles (about 3 inches or 7.5cm in diameter) found clinging to a big rock. I've seen them before but never noticed the dozens of smaller barnacles stuck to them. #barnacles #beach #nature #photography
Tiny Crab. Only about an inch long (2.5cm) this tiny crab would be all but invisible on the beach were it not for his bright claws that are disproportionally large compared to its body. #crustacean #crab #nature #beach #photography
Thanks!
If he didn't cause so much trouble he wouldn't be barred, would he. ๐ฅธ
If they can put 30 clowns in a small car you'd think they'd know how to put a tent in a bag.
Killdeer Family. Best photo I got of the Killdeer family. I'm sure the other photographers around me did better but that's how it goes. #bird #birds #killdeer #nature #photography
Killdeer Family. Mother Killdeer took to hiding in the grass but stuck her head out to check on her babies. #bird #birds #killdeer #nature #photography
Killdeer Family. Another over sharpened photo because I didn't get it right the first time around. #bird #birds #killdeer #nature #photography
Killdeer Family. Notice the 10 legs. She's covering her four babies. (Pardon the over sharpening. Wouldn't be necessary if I got the right focus to begin with.) #bird #birds #killdeer #nature #photography
Killdeer Family. #bird #birds #killdeer #nature #video It was difficult to record this Killdeer's fresh out of the nest family. I added an additional Killdeer video at the end to show what a video could look like if only birds came closer.
Red Winged Blackbird II. In addition to the one-note chirp this video gives the longer call I'm familiar with. #bird #birds #blackbird #birdsong
Red Winged Blackbird. I videoed this for 2 reasons. 1st, the one-note chirp. I'm familiar only with it's longer call. 2nd, the way the red feathers struck out from the shoulders. In the military I think they're called Epaulette. #bird #birds #blackbird #birdsong
Coyote. A dog walker pointed out this coyote to me. Thanks for that! #coyote #SerpentineRiver #BC #nature #photography
Double Crested Cormorant. I almost missed this cormorant who blended in very well against the rocks on the far shore. Note it's carrying a fish. #bird #birds #cormorant #nature #photography
Northern Harrier. I was lucky to get a couple of not totally bad photos of this hawk on the far side of the Serpentine River who flapped and glided, flapped and glided on his way up river. #bird #birds #hawk #nature #photography
Northern Shoveler Duck. #bird #birds #duck #nature #photography
Many Black Squirrels were high up in the trees this day feasting on the green tree buds. Meanwhile the sparrow was relegated to thorny bushes for his meal. #bird #birds #sparrow #squirrel #nature #photography
Canadian Goose. Close-up followed by portrait shot with Mt. Baker in the background. #bird #birds #geese #nature #photography #MtBaker
