I've read the good news that it's "just" a large floater, it's likely you can get that removed either with Nd:YAG or a process called vitrectomy, usually done in more severe case of floaters and consists of removing the vitreous humor (the fluid that fills the eyeball) and replace it with a gas!

My eyesight is super average but I have the same issue with 1440p displays that are 32" or bigger. I don't like small screens

For me personally, using a 4K 240 Hz OLED monitor, I can't really go back to 1440p. The difference in sharpness and desktop space is evident. Please don't bite.
