I’ve dealt with them enough that I expected things to go pear-shaped and they lived down to my expectations.

I do love a good redemption arc; I just don’t have the energy to try with someone who treats emotionally abusing friends and family like it’s their full time job.

I know them IRL, which is why I foolishly engaged, and I don’t wish them any ill.

I do wish them some true self-awareness, which will probably shatter them.

But they can easily afford a good psychologist.

Here’s hoping they’ll actually get the therapy they need, even if they don’t deserve it.
