My favorite parenting pro tip: read to them. Read everything. Street signs, menus, books. Turn on closed captions. But read to them.

Do you ever just want to stand on your desk chair in your office and scream? No? Oh… just me then…
Not gonna lie, I got me a girl crush on @repjasmine.bsky.social
She is rampant badassery at its finest.
Oh of course! I was externalizing. My apologies.
Can we bring back beautiful clothes for everyday? Men in 3 piece suits. Women in whatever makes them feel beautiful. Peaky Blinders style badassery!
I have a collection of banned children’s books. I think Worm loves Worm is my favorite.
Hi, Marcus!

Today is reset day. I was a tad overzealous and am paying for it now with tears. Just for a moment. I give myself the grace to indulge my hurt, and the iron reserve to use it to get over the finish line. It’s just another bump in the road.
(A pic of the baby bear and his fren smol ket for the algo)
When stretching your back in bed so you can walk without crying, do not fall asleep in frog pose. Commenting “for a friend”.
My neurospiciness manifests in odd ways. Physical mail is one on my nemeses. Only scary spam and bills from places that don’t do email (think govment and doctors) are in there with the ads. But I got the mail tonight and dealt with it. I can do hard things. #proudofmyself
Y’all may not know, but I am an avid reader, volunteer, technologist, historical recreationist and advocate. I also sew. And, my dude, I love me a good top stitch to keep that business tidy. That is all.

Sorry about the typo.
Did You Know: 1) some libraries allow you to get an ecard even if you are outside their service area 2) some libraries offer free access to LinkedIn Learning 3) the Libby app lets you search all libraries for which you have cards 4) library funding is based on “subscribers” 5) I am up to 6 cards
Do better MSN. How about Women of Color Leaders VIRTUALLY ANYWHERE?!?
I just watched The Six Triple Eight. Kerry Washington owned the role of Lt. Cooonel Charity Adams. The end just shook me and I’m crying. 10/10 would recommend.
I foster books and rescue them from second hand shops, boot sales and yes, sometimes, large warehouses. I also use Libby and Kindle for those “little minutes” and for audiobooks. Books are in every room without a tap (but there are cookbooks in the keeping room). Some examples.
I woke up at 3:30am from a nightmare and fought a strong desire to clean the carriage house, but none to move the stuff in the basket at the bottom of the stairs to the third floor. Still awake at 5:23. Every day is a blessing, but this one is gonna be a little harder than yesterday.
They are in every room without a faucet. Houses without books freak me out. If y’all e-reading, keep a few library books on your coffee table so folks know you read.

There are many books I read that I don’t “like” because they educate me. I didn’t “like” White Fragility, but it was a necessary read for me. Nor did I like “A Warning”. But then, I don’t think you were talking to people who strive for critical thinking…
I just bought the book. I am a data activist and AI intersectionality warrior who knows when to shut up and listen to black women.
