Hey artists, if you see this, post a dog.
Here's Baco, wearing his God of Wine garments. He's part Bodeguero (wine-cellar dog) so my partner decided that was the most fitting name for him, and I couldn't agree more.
Hey artists, if you see this, post a dog.
My old boy Mars 🌿 (he's turning 16 in a few days!!)
Original paintings I did for the SoS tokens (Elemental, Spirit, Inkling). All of them are acrylics on canvas board 12,5x17cm. Let’s say 150€ shipped for the set? DM if interested!
I don't dislike sharing my process, but it is a lot of works it takes time which I don't have.
It's double the work, so yeah, just posting something that I worked hard on should be enough.
A photograph of the color rough of Blech. This was painted in acrylics on roughly A5 sized acrylic paper.
The final painting for Blech. This was painted in acrylics on 30 by 40cm, 400gsm acrylic paper.
Photos of the color rough and the final!
The color rough for Blech, done in acrylics on roughly A5 sized paper.
For the color rough which was also done in acrylics, I started with an orange wash and while I was very happy with my chosen palette, the result was a bit too warm for a Black and Green mana card. To cool it down a little, I used a brown wash for the final painting instead.
The sketch for Blech
This was one of those pieces that just came together exactly like I wanted it. After I saw the brief I attempted to make multiple sketches like usual, but I just kept coming back to the first vision I had. He is a perfect chunky lad and I love him.
You don't know how hard I've fallen in love with this baby. I scrapped my plans for my next deck cause now I just need Blex <333
What a gorgeous piece, Ilse! And I know I've said this a lot these past days seeing all the Strixhaven art, but this truly is one of my most fav pieces from this set.
A traditional illustration done in acrylics featuring Blech. Blech is a pest, a creature that exists on the plane of Strixhaven. Pests come in many shapes and sizes, often looking like something of a mix between reptiles, amphibians and grubs. Blech is a particularly large, chunky pest of mostly red and green coloring with a white underbelly. He has bright red eyes, many teeth and spines and is lazily lounging on a moss covered branch, surrounded by various small creatures of the forest.

Time to bring a little digital art magic back to my feed ✨
After taking a small vacation from digital art this year to recharge (I have been quietly working on a few projects in the background👀), I’m excited to bring both of my art worlds together again.

Created a #PortfolioDay feed a ways back. Displays any post from the previous 72 hours with at least one image and the Portfolio Day tag. Enjoy.
Well, well, it's #portfolioday already? I just got back home from a trip, so I'm out of the loop. However, if you like fantastical landscapes, then I got some for you! I'm mostly working for MTG and D&D these days.

Digital illustration depicting a scene from a classroom of magic users. One student at the centre attempts to control the unwieldy water based magic that rises up out of a book. She has an expression of shock as the magic backfires on her. Behind her is another student and a teacher who gazes on in disappointment.
An illustration depicting a side-on view of the ocean. On top of the water sits a small sailing boat with a figure fishing off to one side. Beneath the waves, a giant shark emerges from the depths to capture the boat.
An illustration depicting a tiefling standing in amongst a crowd, wearing regal clothing. He is glancing back over his shoulder with a smirk as he throws petals back towards his followers who gaze up towards him with adoration.
A young man runs through a maze, viewed from the side and on a downward angle. Beneath him are four Grecian style pillars. He wears a toga and an odd vambrace on one arm.

Well I think they'd probably wish they were as badass as you if they saw certain piratey picture.
And they already are the most badass women.
Can’t believe the news, Disney shutting down the marvel. vis dev department. This teams art made them billions and billions of dollars, but it seems that paying a handful or so of fulltime illustrators is simply too much to ask these days.
So since I'll be already opening MANY MANY packs for this set, cause DAMNNNN it's so good. Pray for my soul to get lucky and crack at least one of those beautiful Jeska's <3
Damn, even the foil one looks fantastic!! And I usually prefer to go all non foil, but the vids I've seen of this one woah!
The obsession I have with this gorrrgeous artwork and also how fantastic it looks with the Mystical Archive frame, you don't even know.
I'm usually a bit reluctant about spending that much money on a card. And luckily I already got two JWs for working on Storm's SL, but THIS ONE <3 I'm getting it!🔥
aaaahh your beautiful render and colors are always such a delight to look at <3
Gorgeous pieces, all of them!
Digital artwork. It is a wedding scene, the bride and the groom are both dressed in white and gold, they are surrounded by knights in armor holding their swords above the couple to form an arch. There is a flower arch behind them and flower petals are flying in the air.
Two book covers. The first one. A young man in a trek suit is running up the ladder in a dungeon, he is carrying a mimic. An ogre is chasing him, and a floating green scull is laughing at him. The second is an illustration of a female warrior, her appearance and armor are in Viking style. Her skin is pale, hair is blond. She has a sword in one hand and a white flower in the other. Some white flowers grow around her between rocks. There is smoke close to the ground. In the background there are mountains and gray clouded sky, some spots are in sunlight.
Digital illustration of two characters, they stand in the dark forest. A woman in a long white dress with long dark hair touches the face of the paladin who looks like he is an undead, to cast a spell - an illusion that he is human. Golden magic flows between the paladin and the book in the woman's hand.
Two illustrations. the first is a digital painting of Varellus from the game Space Marine 2. Varellus is standing on the fiery battlefield, there is a dreadnought and Ultramarine banners behind him. The second is a fan art of the game "The Talos Principle". Characters in the artwork are robots Athena and Miranda and a ghost of Alexandra Drennan.

“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.
“Medusa Portrait” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso. A portrait of a young Medusa who looks peacefully towards the viewer, her hair is flowing mass of thick iridescent dark indigo snakes tied up in a head wrap.
"Winternight Stories” is an oil painting by the artist Zara Alfonso, done for the Magic: The Gathering Tarkir: Dragonstorm. An orc stands in the middle of a small crowd, telling a story of the battle against dragons with a swirl of watery blue magic.
Zara Alfonso's oil painting of the official card illustration for “Dualcaster Mage” for Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Special Guests.
