Results are out and the left wing of the Michigan Democrats had a near total sweep today in Detroit. Out of 8 endorsements by the People’s Coalition, for instance, all but one won the party’s endorsement today. A victory like this for leftists & progressives was hard to imagine just a few years ago.

Eat shit, Acker.
LET'S GOOOOOOO
It's official: Jordan Acker LOST.
Lt. Gov. @garlingilchrist.bsky.social has won the Michigan Democratic Party's endorsement for secretary of state on the first ballot.
Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit wins the Michigan Democratic Party endorsement for attorney general in a win for the party's progressive wing.
Haley Stevens is booed as she takes the stage at the Michigan Democratic Party Convention in Detroit. She spoke over people screaming "shame" and other comments, many about Palestine, through most of her remarks.
"Democrats, I love you, even when we disagree," Stevens said.
You'll also enjoy the fact that Jordan Acker was booed during his nomination. I tried to upload the video but I have slow reception here at the voting hall.
Michigan Democratic Convention speech reception:
Abdul El-Sayed: Lots of cheers.
Mallory McMorrow: Meh.
Haley Stevens: Lots of boos.
Seeing the difference between the crowd reception to El-Sayed and Stevens was worth the attendance.

More from my nephew, definitely some damage in Ann Arbor from the storms beyond Yost:
The now displaced roof of Yost Ice Arena
So, the roof may have come off Yost during last night's storms.
One advantage of living in Michigan is no one wants to buy Purdue stuff, so I was able to snag this at Meijer yesterday.
And to think there are billions more stars in a small fraction of this photo that we CAN'T see.
I guess you just gotta rotate between the two photos then lol
Chuck lowered his glasses even more to show his disapproval. It's almost off his nose!! What more do you want, Travis?!?!?!
Purdue still managed to have the best result for a preseason #1 team since 2020-21 Gonzaga
2025: Purdue, Elite 8
2024: Kansas, 1st Round
2023: KU, 2nd Round
2022: North Carolina, Missed Tourney
2021: Gonzaga, Sweet 16
2020: Gonzaga, Runner-up
2019: MSU, COVID
2018: KU, 2nd round
2017: Duke, Elite 8
Armageddon is terrible, but our only other option was diversity trainings at work.
TKR's game-winning shot made it to One Shining Moment.
They also mentioned Arizona winning the Elite 8, but this OSM wasn't as painful as past years at least.
And ten years ago if I told you who had which titles you’d have slapped me on the spot
You could say that I am a ball-knower 😎
(don't look at the rest of my bracket)
The Big Ten has won national championships in football, men's basketball and women's basketball in the year 2026.
Three different schools, too!
They truly overcame adversity.
congratulations to the national champs, who trailed Northwestern by 16 points earlier this year
My spouse: How is Connecticut good at basketball? Aren't they white? They have white clam pizza. That's not a basketball state.
Go Blue.
But still fire Warde Manuel.
literally further away from earth than any human being ever and still can’t get away from him, brutal stuff
Even the Artemis II crew could have seen that it was a 3.
My spouse: Another (UConn) time out?! What are you going to do? Strategize how to lose better?
Michigan losing to Purdue in the BTT reset them. They've looked more like their regular-season selves in the tournament.
If they had beaten Purdue, I don't think they would have gotten this far.
At the very least, the loss to Arizona didn't leave much doubt. If it were a last-second loss like 2019, there would be way more what-ifs.
They just ran out of gas.
